That’s it. I’m saving up for a Wii U. Black Friday. 2013. I’m getting the best deal. I can’t, I can’t fucking NOT play Bayonetta 2 or as her in Smash Bros.
SRK join me. The damn thing is only $250-$300 and there are enough games in retail and on the e-shop to make it worthwhile I think in the long run. I’m not saying it won’t collect dust once your shiney new PS4 or PC arrive (or that other thing) like your Wii currently does but this is Bayonetta.
BAYO. NETTA. Bayonetta 2. We’ve got to play this game.
Edit: As cool as that near hentai artwork is of Bayo and Jeanne that shatterstar posted I think it’s unfair that Jeanne’s bikini doesn’t get the same level of “this is really just hair” treatment that Bayo is getting. That and Bayo looks too thuggish in this lol. A lot of thug and not enough sass.
I’m glad they gave her a more modern hairstyle the old one was strange looking.
Which brings me to a pointless point, did anyone else think there would be more customizations since Bayo was so sexualized? I thought we would be able to change her haircolor etc etc.
Im hoping for different hairstyles that affect combat etc. Whatever. I wanted it to be my little beat em up-slash-DOA girly customize mode i like stuff like thathttp://forums.shoryuken.com/t/casa-de-bayo-bayonetta-2/153320/762#
Damn, it’s been that long? I hope it’ll still be in stock once I get paid… If there’s one artbook I wanted, it’s this one. I loved looking at the concept art pieces that you could unlock and look at in the extras in Bayonetta.
If Nintendo doesn’t own Bayonetta’s rights outright then Kamiya needs to learn how to BRANCH THE FUCK OUT. I would hop on that PS4/Vita/PC bandwagon before throwing out a game like Jeanne’s Magical Angel Killing Adventures to the 3DS where it will go to die.
Nothing worse then asking three different Wii U owners if they are getting Wonderful 101 and only one of them somewhat positively responding.
I’m not trying to be a backwards hooligan but it seems to me based on actual sales data that people who buy Nintendo hardware mainly want Nintendo software in the last two console cycles. If someone could tell me how third party games did on the Gamecube that would be great but I think that was the beginning of the end right there.
And if that’s the case Kamiya and Platinum Games should start thinking about what kinds of games they can produce with their own budget and start publishing directly to platforms like PC, PS4/Vita, and I guess Xbox One. Or even mobile. The QTE masters could certainly come up with a fun mobile game.
Yea it might be something they would want to look into at some point, but it seems they have their hands full at the moment. It would be cool for them to jump into the self publishing arena, but i don’t see it happening any time soon, their games don’t sell well enough to continue making the kind of stuff they currently make on their own budget.
And at least for Kamiya, Mobile Platform is not robust enough for the kind of work he likes to do. Dude comes up with a plan, they continues bolting onto said plan well into the deadline for the project. Mobile probably not robust enough for him (Least not the touch mobile market, he might be able to do something with the 3DS or Vita).
They have a DS game called Infinite Space, but it’s not that great, and it sold the worst of all their projects, even worse then Mad World.
I’m gonna need FurryCurry’s old crab in a bucket ass to sit down and hush… Between this thread and the Mighty No. 9 thread, you always got some negative shit to say.
We get it, you’re business minded and are always worried about the profitability of things. Guess who else is profit minded? Capcom/EA/Activision and all those other companies who have seen fit to regress the industry into this bloated mass of “we need to sell 5 million+ copies or its a failure” design model.
Some people just want to play games that are fun.
They don’t give a shit about the other 8 million dumbasses who throw their money away on Call of Duty/Madden/Last of Us/insert modern pos game here… They don’t give a fuck about DLC, or buying new costumes and stages.
There are some people who want to get the most bang out of their buck on a single purchase and not be nickel and dimed to death. They just want to pick up a game and be challenged… be entertained BECAUSE THE GAME IS FUN AND ENJOYABLE TO PLAY, not because of whatever corporate bullshit enabled its creation.
Stop complaining every time some shit comes out on a system you don’t like. Stop bitching because you don’t like the thought of “yet another Mega Man game” or “this would sell better on X/Y/Z console”… You don’t see me running into The Last of Us thread talking about how shitty it is or making fun of people for pouring money into a rip off like League of Legends, because if those people enjoy it, good for them… It doesn’t affect me, but motherfuckers always coming into threads for old-school style shit always got some slick shit to say… I don’t get it.
TL;DR version: Buy the game or don’t… but please shut the fuck up about how the economics don’t work out in your close-minded view of things. Have some fucking fun for once… Damn.
So I should just let the people dream and be angry? But this is a business and based on W101’s sales so far I don’t have the best of hopes for Bayo 2. There is a market out there that will support Platinum Games but I don’t think it’s on the Wii U. They might need to take a hard look at what it costs to do what they do best and act accordingly. I don’t want them to close up shop.
Edit: I also don’t think I called any game shitty? I mean quote me if I’m wrong but I never complained about too many sequels or anything like that. I think it’s great that Capcom at least has Monster Hunter to lean on for now and it’s had so many versions for each numbered game it’s crazy.
I don’t want them to make silly little mobile games that cramp my hands after half an hour either. I dunno about you but I can’t play those kinds of games ont hat small a screen with that small a control style. I have to turn Ys 7 off after half an hour, and that’s a mashy action RPG
Understandable but some people do. If it works for the platform it works for the platform. It was just an idea. Some way for them to diversify and not be so dependent on the investment of bigger publishers.
They wouldn’t be teamed with Nintendo in the first place if this magical audience that supports them would actually buy the damn games.
Metal Gear Rising was their biggest hit to date and a simple google search will show you how well the “masses” received it. Idiot game reviewers who didn’t get their Konami kick back that month giving it shitty reviews coupled with the morons who actually listen to these clowns.
Good games and studios don’t stand a chance unless they go small and focus on handhelds because the console market is full of bullshit from here to Japan at all levels of the industry.
