Casa De Bayo - Bayonetta 2

that rant is interesting because i was gonna type something similar here but decided fuck it, but i will now.

all i wanted to say is i wish gamers were more skilled, cultured, and less stereotypical hating ass nerds. you can go back to the original bayonetta thread and see a bit of it here on srk, but i wonder what made millions buy dmc4, which wasnt that great, and a max of i believe 2 million that got bayonetta, with early numbers on release just like a million.

maybe it shows how sexist and shitty gamer males can be, maybe not. i dont know, but i mean every video for bayonetta spoke for itself, and then adding kamiya on top of it, the creator of the god damn dmc series until capcom boned him, you woulda thought those millions of dmc fans would flock over for the next great installment in the genre. instead, its omg, guns on her shoes, wtf why is she almost naked, is her hair a monster, blah blah blah.

it took a while but many got on the train late, and better late then never, so i still have high hopes for its success on wiiU, contrary to all the wiiU hate, which im not interested in or care about, because it aint xbox one levels of a retarded console. good enough for me, but i digress.

i mean, even the dmc community barely supported it with combo videos, even though the level of stylish insanity was the best of the genre, arguably only tied with dmc3se. i mean my girl only plays fucking super nintendo games and she watched me play bayonetta through one time from the start, and fell in love with it. she doesnt play anything but TWO FUCKING SUPER NINTENDO GAMES, and even she had to recognize the intelligence and swag levels of bayonetta, and now plays it herself. the game is just great, and we definitely need to keep reminding people how great it is and trying to get them into it.

i mean it just boggles my mind that bayonetta didnt just blow away e3. this is a bias rant, but look at that shit, objectively if i was walking by a booth that had that trailer on repeat and never knew of bayonetta beforehand, i would have to stop and be like hold up, wtf is this awesomeness. but yet people going crazy over watchdogs. loool. there is like no love for wonderful 101 right now, which is unbelievable to me because all of that trailers speak for themselves, and so does the director of the fucking game.

i mean thats what i mean by cultured. mikami is about to redefine survival horror and bring it back, but its just kind of casually talked about by the press. kamiya has been the director behind some of the most phenomenal games to ever be created in the history of gaming, even basically starting a genre all by himself, and hes getting no shine, no sit downs with major gaming sites to discuss his game. platinum games in general at this point is a company who makes some of the best games ever that no one buys, as if that is some type of bad quality, and not just representative of the market and how scrubby it is. lol

thats why im buying a wiiU, because i support good shit heavy, and the console is not too much fuckery that i cant get with it. plus there are more then a handful of games outside of wonderful 101 and bayonetta 2 that i can play. im just glad it wasnt an xbox one exclusive. id be heated as fuck. lol

man, from the resumes of the guys at platinum games, every time they step into a large gaming event, niggas should be sucking their fucking toes.

niggas are excited about a game that is just fucking parkour. PARKOUR MY NIGGA. what can i say, at least i got bayonetta 2, and i know that the team knows this could be their last bayonetta, so i think it will be more then enough to satisfy me as long as bayonetta has and is. also, im sure wonderful 101 will be nothing short of pure bliss, and even if i didnt get another one, at least i got the 1.

thats how good them platinum games niggas is. even if you only got just the 1, you are like, well even just this one was good enough. like if there were no more resident evils after resident evil 1 and 2, i aint even mad though. 4 was good, i just wasnt the biggest fan.

lemme stop before i type a fucking book. lol

Shame on us then…because I have yet to play the first one as well.

Still on my backlog.

Tsk tsk.

bad geese pants, but im glad you at least acknowledge its greatness.

I gotta cosign everything jimmy just posted. Bayonetta is one of the best experiences of this gen and hardly anyone played it… The fact that it sold like shit is one of the major reasons I get a migraine everytime some jackass starts bitching about it being WiiU exclusive-- you assholes didn’t even buy the first game, so why the fuck are you pissed?

I still play the original just because… Its that damn good. It is very rare for me to go back to a game after I’ve finished it the first time, but Bayo is that hot fiyah. Bayo 2 is looking like its going to take everything awesome about the original and go even harder. Multiplayer in a game like this? Are you shitting me? I’ve been wanting that shit since DMC 3 imagining Vergil and Dante side-by-side fucking shit up. Having Bayo and Jeanne is just as good if not better.

TL;DR: Bayonetta is awesome. Platinum has never made a game I didn’t love. Anybody that bitches about WiiU exclusivity obviously didn’t do the research and is a fraud who didn’t even buy the original brand new if at all.

And thank whatever deity you believe in that its not Xbone exclusive…

@jimmy1200 I hear what you you are saying right.

but, …If gamer males where sexist, and hear me out when I say this, wouldn’t those niggas be inclined to buy Beyonetta because she has the mannerisms of an exotic pornstar?

I don’t think sexism is the problem, I just feel like the action genre just isn’t selling too well nowadays. Even GOW:Ascension didn’t sell well enough, and that franchise was bulletproof.

You’d think that except most “gamers” don’t have enough confidence in their own manliness to be caught playing a game where the main character is a female or doesn’t look “hardcore”.

In my experience an adult gamers biggest moment of shame usually shouldn’t come from the games they play, its that if he/she plays online with player chat it is usually filled with vulger little snots that don’t appreciate the shit they have access to that others didn’t or parents stupid enough to pay for it.

When I saw the trailer for Bayonetta when it was first released, I was interested in it. The more and more I watched it, the more and more I wanted it. I got the game when it was released and it was extremely hard to put down. It had that, “Just one more chapter…” pull to it. There are some games you can pick up and put down like it’s nothing. Bayonetta was not that game. I had to either, leave the house or forced myself to sleep in order for me to stop playing. Everything about Bayonetta was just amazing to me. Even had the right layer of cheesey to not be super serious.

Bayonetta’s character design was another big hit with me. Granted, she could’ve had more titties, but, I digress. But, her look was something new and interesting. The concept of manipulating her hair seems sorta corny to hear, but once you see how it was use, you’re like, “Oh dammmnnn. That’s pretty fuckin’ cool.” Like I said before, I’m not super keen on the new look/hair swap with Jeanne, but, it’ll grow on me. Especially if there’s the Gym Gear… Then it’ll be my weeaboo wet dream. The level designs were great as well. Monsters were awesome and slaying bosses left you feeling satisfied. As the difficulty turned up, you knew it. It kept you on your toes, like it should. Nothing wrong with challenging your players and really testing their skills.

At first, I wasn’t too keen on having to play the game over and over again to unlock stuff, but, I enjoyed the game so much that I didn’t mind playing it. I stopped in the middle of Climax mode, but, to say I beat the game 3 times and wanted more says a lot. Re-playability seems to be lacking in recent games, but Bayo, for me, was not one of them. The rewards were awesome, so replaying made it all worth it. Especially the costume rewards.

To know that this game didn’t sell well was so disheartening (at the time) because it was such a good game. People never gave it a chance, despite all the advertising that I would see on TV/online ads. I tried to tell people and talk about it on Facebook (then) to get more people to hop on the Bayo Bandwagon. But it fell on deaf ears. I wanted a second game, but I really didn’t expect one because it wasn’t as popular and I thought it should have been.

I co-sign with angrylib is saying about all these niggas complaining about Bayo only being a Wii U exclusive. When I heard they were even making a second one, I screamed because it deserves it. The story left so much that could’ve been left to explore afterwards… So, all these assholes complaining that Bayonetta is a Wii U exclusive can suck a donkey dick, because they didn’t care enough to buy it so that P* could even try to develop a new game to be on multiple platforms.

Thank you Nintendo for giving P a chance to make another amazing game.* And please please please make Bayo 2’s multiplayer online. I will love you more than I already do. - Regards, Neesa

tl;dr Thank you #basedNintento. You da bes.

Yeah I do feel yall on the low sale, it’s like a slug to the chest honestly,

Although I was one of those people who was not involved in the hype for this game until they dropped a demo and pretty much stole my soul. Beyonetta’s character is what got me hooked, Badass, refined, classy. This was a day one from the start. I actually remember that being the third game I got for my ps3? I think that was the time where niggas where playing brawl like all day everyweekend till like 5 am and then we’d crowd around my big screen TV and watch the highlight game of the evening. Good times, other than this one chapter when I caught the stone (which in hindsight wasn’t too bad) the game was fun, and everyone loved watching or playing that shit…

Damn, and niggas skipped out on this? did they not have friends at the time?

If you guys are wondering why the press isn’t talking about games like Bayo 2, The Evil Within, Wonderful 101, X, etc look no further than Geoff Keighley. He’s like the amalgamation of western game journalists. I watched Geoff’s interview with Reggie and he didn’t even ask about the games, just kept prodding Reggie about third party support and their business strategy. Naturally, after the interview he goes on to say how Nintendo has no games coming out. These journalists ignore everything JP developed these days. It’s why JRPGs are only released on handhelds since Japan still buys them and I bet if Microsoft had not fucked up as badly as they did with their policies they’d all be saying how MS had the best press conference and games shown and that they “won” E3.

I tried to do somethin’ quick.

I’ll take my time and work on something when my shoulder isn’t in excruciating pain.

I can’t wait for the hentai where Short Haired Bayo makes out with Long Haired Bayo.

Gimme some time and I’ll make this happen… Or at least PG-13 for here.

That’s one of the things that kind of annoys me. I mentioned this in the E3 thread but if people notice, when they talk about Nintendo they only focus in on the the first party pillars (Mario, Zelda, DK, Metroid) so whenever someone is like why don’t they do something other than ‘insert first party pillar here’? And then they do release a new IP or release/publish a game other than those and NOBODY TALKS ABOUT IT. It’s amazing really.

Here is a literal example of what you are talking about. The IGN article focuses on Nintendo’s decisions rather than the games it has. The internet then echos our opinion in this thread. Honestly Bayonetta 2 is one of the BEST games at E3 period. Yet no site is talking about it…man this genre really is niche. I hope Nintendo goes hard on advertisements ala COD.

this reminds me of the original xbox

the people, media, gamestop made it out that the whole reason to buy a Xbox was because of Halo. Halo was hyped when it came out, I hype I didn’t understand since I don’t play those kind of games myself.

now here we’re creaming ourselves with bayonetta 2, some people will buy a wiiu just for this game. But it’s just us, the world, the casuals, the stupid media just don’t care.

sometimes it hurts to be into this genre

Yeah, it’s pretty sad not seeing P* get the respect they deserve. I didn’t know who they were until I saw that first Bayo trailer. I was on board immediately and I’ve been day one all their titles ever since with no hesitation. Easily the best dev this gen for me. The only thing you can do is support in any way you can and spread the word.

in case anyone hasnt seen the full playthrough of the demo. anyone have info on the weapons she is using in the demo. i havent been able to make them out. maybe a double sword is one.
