I think being on wiiu and focus on optimization on one platform will have a positive effect on the IQ and performance of the end product.
and hopefully with Nintendo they get a little more time and money to make a better product. I love the first game but you can clearly see where they had to cut corners due to either lack of time or resources.(Stillshot cutscenes and stages/bosses composed ENTIRELY of recycled assets)
Hype as hell this game is actually coming and optimistic towards the impact exclusivity will have on the end product.
Will buy a Wii-u for this and Wonderful 101. Probably check out some Nintendo games I’ve been ignoring as well because of it.
Regarding the censoring, all of the platform holders have limits to what kinds of content you can put in your game. An AO-rated game is a TOD across the board. I recall there being some controversy over some lyrics in a music track made for Little Big Planet. The lyrics contained text from the Quran or something like that.
Sega’s the one that dropped it to begin with. Why isn’t anyone mad at them? Look at how many supposed fans this game had, apparently Sega dropped the ball, no? You can be disappointed that Nintendo put up the money to make the sequel happen but getting mad at them, for making a worthwhile business decision? Nah, ease up on that fanboy overload there.
I can understand the frustration. The wii burned alot of people, and now a game that they enjoyed on the consoles that didn’t is getting a sequel on the wii’s 300 dollar successor. (one that on a surface level, isn’t any more powerful than the machines they already own) all for no apparent reason to them.
Doesn’t excuse the hilariously childish way of expressing it, but I can empathize with the disappointment on some level.(I don’t like buying/owning multiple consoles)
but personally I’m just excited about a game I love getting a sequel, and one of my favorite development studios continuing to make alot of cool games for me to enjoy.
Gaming I think is a relatively inexpensive hobby in moderation. I don’t mind saving up to play a game I really want. Not like it’s coming out tomorrow
>Nintendo seemingly making moves to correct its mistakes from the past in securing some nice third party support and exclusives
>GRAAAH FUK U NINTENDO SUK MAH COCK
Wow readng through this thread I’m starting to think I’m the only person on the face of the planet who bothered to look for good wii games. Throughout my wii’s lifetime I’ve thoroughly enjoyed many 1st and 3rd party games such as:
The No more Heroes series
Madworld
Muramasa the Demon Blade
Red Steel 2 (a game which truly innovates the wiimote with the sensor +)
Super Paper Mario
The Super Mario Galaxy series
Both Legend of Zeldas (skyward sword is the better one)
Tatsunoko vs Capcom
Metroid Prime 3
Xenoblade Chronocles (the best JRPG released in ages>>>>>>>FF13)
Sonic Colours
Supers mash Bros. Brawl
Monster Hunter Tri.
The Last Story (a slight let down though…still better than FF13 )
Man I just bought sin & punishment 2 yesterday for £8 which was given a 9.2 by IGN
So if any of you guys are gonna buy the wii-u Bayonetta do yourself a favour and pick up some of these gems
If you’re going to make a game and someone offers to fund you, you save money and the game gets made. Why would MSFT/Sony know about the moves Ninty are making? You make it sound like SEGA posted this on craig’s list and put it up for grabs.
The fact that you think SEGA wasn’t gonna release it themselves means you believe the rumor, no?
…well, apparently not the one who reads my posts though…
No More Heroes (1 and 2) and Sonic Colors were just bad games though. I liked the story and art (also this) but Heroes was generally just meh all around otherwise. Colors did some things right and (in typical ST fashion) did a bunch of things so very terribly.
So out of that list of about 14 games you found 3 that you did not like. Having a system for about 11 games warrants its purchase. The wii u is going to have more than just bayonetta 2 to warrant its purchase as well.
