The story was that Platinum was developing B2 but lacked of funds to make the sequel and was almost cancelled, thats where nintendo enters and gives them the money to continue their development, as a trade, Bayonetta 2 is exclusive to WiiU.

This is the 2nd PlatG game that is exclusive to a Nintendo console. (First was MadWorld, inb4 MadWorld 2, since Jack hasnt been done on MW1 and AR)

I’ll be honest, I’d rather have the game exist period, but for a system I’ll never get, than have it not exist at all

Bayonetta fans might not even have gotten a sequel… on any platform. The game exists, this is good news.

Worst case, you wait a few years to pick up a Wii U on the cheap and then enjoy your game.

No they come out more on top having this as an exclusive to their system.

The problem here is that it’s exclusive to a brand new console that never recieved the original game, completely separating the fanbase from the actual game.

Basically, Bayonetta fans either cough up or get the finger. Third party exclusives at this day and age are stupid.

Very understandable, but I see a lot of interesting games coming out for the WiiU, so I’m going to buy it anyways.

Just from Platinum alone we’ve got P-100 and this to look forward to.

Well, I can honestly say I didn’t react well to this news. I’m probably not getting a WiiU anytime soon, and to hear this be an exclusive just…saddens me. With that said, I am happy that a sequel to this game is actually being made.

Will it be for other consoles down the line? I’ll be hoping so. Until then, I might have to start saving them pennies.

Published by Nintendo, chances are slim to none unless Platinum pulls a “Bayonetta Sigma” and remakes the game from scratch, which is not happening in this lifetime.

i dont keep up with nintendo news, so is the wiiU hardware wise really awesome to allow kamiya and crew to make bayonetta 2 the greatest game on planet earth outside of bayonetta 1?

also, does this mean we will see lots of nintendo tidbits throughout the game just for fun? that would be pretty cool.

im not even angry though. my love for kamiya and bayonetta transcends my disgust towards nintendo consoles past the snes. im just going to have to convert to full gamer here soon and cop a ps3 and a wiiU over the next few months because there are a couple ps3 exclusives i really wanna play coming up. its just so annoying to have to deal with this console exclusive shit as a consumer, especially when its for REALLY good games.

well we’ll see, nba jam was wii only and then it dropped for ps3 and xbox360 later and was the better version. maybe this initial announcement as a wiiU exclusive is to drive up preorders, and gauge the community before finalizing the choice completely. i have to think pg and kamiya have the fans heavily in mind and understand where their fan base is, and how costly this will be for them just to buy 1 game.
