Im making this thread because i think that people have no idea how to kill mf’ers with this guy. He isnt a combo guy, so you will have to do some mindgames to win.
3 of my favorites:P
have a set pattern to repeat like tk fires, ground fires, mummy, etc. When the guy thinks you got a read on you and is trying to rushdown… Captain Corridor xxx Captain Sword. Not to be repeated all the time, because it is easily read after twice… unless your opponent is mad dumb.
when doing a blockstring, do sents assist and captain kick. Drones cross-up, then you can do another blockstring into a cross-up and trap, or combo that biatch.
when you corner an opponent, use hk throw then do a blockstring in the air after it ends. Then try to grab again! awesome for people that suck.
If you guys want to post some good mindgames with him, feel free.
#1 is pretty standard mando tac’s cept the part ending in corridor xx c.sword… I wouldn’t do that unless I hit confirmed or wanted to assist punish and had the extra meter to DHC him out… though obviously if they are strait rushing you and you got the extra meters… can always try it… might land it or at least nail an assist.
#2 pretty damn annoying there… I’ve had that stick me a number of times… but usually they just run into AAA while trying to do the kick. Only other thing about the combo part… is if they duck the kick… and jump the drones… if you are dashing in… watch out for the overhead… they have no reason not to stick it out.
#3 I don’t think I’d do this unless they do suck… but then again… mando broken grab when you haven’t tried it all match… might be just the thing…
I’m not a big fan of fires as an attack. As a hulk player I actually have a lot of fun vs mando just walking through it…lol To me it’s more useful to halt your descent… You can use it to move fwd over a projectile while preventing a jump… just late tk with a lil extra fwd thrown in and you’ll rise above the projectile… move fwd 1/4 screen… and stick em with a fire… often I’ll land and do air mummy strait away… if they block it while still in air… you get plenty of time to close distance. I’m not much of a mando player honestly though…
