So what’s the dillyo?

TIMES:

February 16th 3pm to early Sunday morning (midnight, or until brackets finish).
February 17th 10am to 3:30pm

registration for all games 3-5pm.

NOTE: No late registrations, when you come in, you must register for all games when you pay your cover fee.

SCHEDULE:

Saturday: Team brackets, Single’s brackets
Sunday: Finals for all games.

$10 cover fee

increase in cover is due to the fact that I’m now paying a substantial amount of money for renting the place out.

CVS2 Singles - $10
CVS2 Teams (maximum 3 entrants/team)- $15
3s Singles - $10
3s Teams of 2 - $10
MVC2 Singles - $5
A2 Singles - $5
ST Singles - $5
XvSF Singles - $5

  • CVS2 teams max 1 character/player
  • 3s teams cannot have the same character twice on one team

Why is there a site fee for an arcade that hosts local console tournaments for free?

What time is registration? What time do the tournaments start?

Can you link to nearby hotels/motels for out of town players please?

Can we have Team Tournaments?

Can we have Arcana Heart Full?

Cause shit is expensive and it’s not all coming out of my pocket.

Team tournaments I haven’t organized, seeing as to how it’s a 2 day event, there’s probably time to run team events, Brett already asked me about a small a2 side tournament. If people ask for a team event, I’ll let them run it, I have no idea what the demand is yet though.

on AH, I know nothing of this game, it’s not at our arcade, I don’t know what consoles it’s on, and nobody in ottawa plays it. So it’s like straight outta my league.

every time i’ve ever run a tournament, i’ve taken a loss on my wallet. This is going to subsidize that loss. Extra money that I’ll be making goes towards legitimate expenses. I.e. cost of driving TVs all around the city. Non-SRK advertising. etc. Further money ends up in the pockets of the player. I’m not doing this for profit. Assuming that there’s leftover in money at the end of the event. Yes I’ll treat everyone fairly to something. If I budget properly, I may even be able to offer subsidized drinks at the venue. etc.

No I won’t be ordering Johnny’s Pizza again.

I can order from Johnny’s Pizza a bit cheaper next time, last time I made the mistake of getting XL pizzas, which there are no deals for, hence the ridiculous prices. You can get 2 large pizzas with 3 toppings each and a 2L bottle of pop for about 35 dollars, including taxes, tip and all that. I remember one tournament where we paid something like 100$ for 6 large pizzas and 3 bottles of pop or something like that, so it was 10 bucks for four slices (half a pizza) and some drink, with some leftover slices for people who wanted some later.

Basically, assuming I can show up for the tournament, I can take people’s orders for food to be delivered as I order to the cave all the time. Johnny’s Pizza, St. Hubert or Cathay Chinese.
