The only person I’ve played who’s really trounced me is OtoriZangief(sp?) from France with Mariah, had to invite him to a private match and he showed me how little I know about the game.
I love this game, its tough to get into but watching match videos shows me what awaits when I actually learn how to not suck at this game.
I personally think this came out at wrong time only weeks behind persona 4…at least in my state
This game has gotten really impossible to play online over the course of this weekend. Ugh. I just lost 100 points in a match where I couldn’t even react, and all of my matches have been almost impossibly laggy today. I don’t think I’m going to be able to compete on the leaderboards like this.
This game’s music is so fucking stellar makes me feel terrible about the music in today’s fg’s.
I need those tracks to really make me feel into it and create the connection that motivates me to love the game even more.
A good character theme can be the only criteria upon which I base my decision to main them.
I’m pretty new at this game, any suggestions for basic things to do or watch out for in the Iggy vs Hol Horse match up (I’m playing Iggy)?
I felt my approaches with teleport or air dashes were all read pretty easily, and he had the low gunshot ready for me when I turned my stand off to dash in.

Wow thanks a lot, a way to punish the glass move, and yea there’s an Iggy section in there. I’m still really figuring out mobility with Iggy he has several options, I’ve been fairly successful with my offense but struggle when I get kept out.
This game is essentially offline/training mode option. Online play is just not on point enough to even want to consider using any of the active stand characters. Played for an hour last night, and have to say that unless you’re playing someone in the same coast/city as you, you will not be having a good time. Anyone got SQ’s PSN ID?
But i’ll see yall on GGPO tho, i don’t think i’m going to abandon it since HD jjba fails on that aspect. Got some offline casuals yesterday at a tournament, i’ll upload a random match later today on youtube/facebook.

I’m seriously considering upgrading my internet in an attempt to get a better connection. I would LOVE to play player matches against people on Xbox, but it seems like most people are focused on ranked games and the salt levels that rise when I lose matches on ranked, oft times due to connectivity problems, are making my favorite fighter not fun. I want to have fun.
On the bright side, I’ve learned a few combo openers from watching replay videos. I won’t ever be able to do it online, but it’s good to know.
So I’ll probably not play online as often… or maybe I’ll pick up petshop. He does actually seem fun to play on a technical level, I just don’t want to be “that guy.”

how is the online in terms of getting to players to play with so far? no problems on matchmaking? id hate to buy this if i wouldnt be able to get any matches ranked or not.
I’ve resorted to doing Arcade or training mode and waiting for Ranked matches, and I never have trouble finding someone. But others experiences might vary.
Is there anywhere to talk about Jojo’s strategies/characters/matchups in depth, either on this forum or another?
We should get some threads going, I’d like that anyway. I know little to nothing about this game, and have been just researching things I can’t figure out on my own from StandCrash, but there’s several characters I’d like more info on.
