Good speed? I guess you didn’t get what I meant. The game is horribly slow paced with its very MB like zoning (jump around and hit normals), extremely low damage combos, and infinites that time out the clock rather than kill anyone. Like I said, the game is just a very dumbed down, slower paced version of HnK. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything hype come from a high level SBX match, while I’ve seen all kinds of crazy, hype shit from HnK matches.
Dude, why did you come in this thread to bash the game? Most people who post here kinda like the game.

HNK is more fun to watch, I’ll give you that but I think SBX is more fun to play.

i agree in many aspects with SJ, i was hyped for the game until i played it, the game has many aspects that can turn you off of it, but it has some ideas that i like, its a fine game to play it from time to time but not for taking it seriously, its fun if you have enough people to play it
Oichi infinite doesn’t really count and is really the only exception to the rule. I knew of it already, but it’s the only infinite in the game that actually kills anyone. All other infinites result in a time out, also known as a snooze fest.

Fixed. Oh, and lol SBX. Game was doomed after I saw the infinites leading to time over rather than outright kills (no, Oichi does not count, unless you want to change the game to Oichi Basara X). Who the hell wants to stand around for 99 slow seconds waiting to see if your opponent drops the combo (which is hella unlikely, seeing as how some are brain-dead easy to do) or not?
Considering how I only play Oichi. OBX wouldn’t be too bad!

It’s kind of sad how this game died out so fast. I guess HnK is too strong.
It’s not that HnK is too strong, it’s that SBX is way too weak.
I did kind of like doing that goofy semi-infinite with Oichi that did ridiculous damage, but the game was just kind of… meh. I can’t even remember specifically what was wrong with it, it was just not as fun as other ArcSys games and such.
My local group played it 2 weeks and decided it was to bad to play, everyone here save yourselves and drop this now.
Offense is god in this game, but breaking block is hard (other than guard crushing your opponent as throws pretty much suck except for kenshins suck balls) so you generically just do long pressure your opponent has little to no anwsers to (normally no anwser as there are many blockstun infinites in this game) and than his guard shatters and you infinite them and win. There are some overhead assist combo things that can get some dmg, but mixing it up often gets you countered into yay an infinite combo or put you on the defensive which sucks sooo hard in this game.
Literally that’s how every good match goes. Alpha counters suck, and you generate meter so slowly on defense you can literally lose twice if you were put on the defensive first thing every round and you’ll die without being able to use it. Meter for offense is absolutely worthless most of the time as you NEED meter to really do anything.
If your not pirate guy, green guy, or Kenshin gtfo cuz you aint winning either as they are stupid broke. If you ever jump at kenshin and attack you lose, green guy has infinite pressure and pirateguy is just incredibly good and i think has unblockables (don’t quote me on that but think so)?
They should update it now that the anime is out
SBX is a fun game, but nobody in my area was interested in it; so it died within about a week.
