how about keeping everything the same except upping the damage on his normals and getting rid of the freakin 1 frame links, they are not hard but can be annoying in a match. also they have to fix flashkick so that it doesn’t trade as much and reduce the recovery time

exactly. This is the main problem. Especially when you’re dealing with good zoners. You have to eat a lot of shit to get in.

I’d love to see his second selectable Ultra be something with either a BFBF or QCFx2 command.
Dr. B’s command inputs are all easy, and if you’re a girl, he’ll let you use his penis as a joystick. Joy.
I don’t think Guile needs to be buffed as much as top tiers need to be nerfed. I can’t think of many things to add to Guile to make him better without overpowering him. I can only think of two things:
- overhead punch is two hits instead of one hit (also might be a good idea to double up on hits to some other unique normals)
- second Ultra (if there are second ultras) is a projectile that can be combo’d from a Flash Kick similar to Balrog’s headbutt into Ultra.
Guile new move should be to comb his hair mid match. The more he combs his air the more stronger his moves get.
Seriously he should be able to juggle his Flash kick into ultra just like Boxer can headbutt into ultra, and a few frames of invulnerability on his flash kick.
Just make it so his flash kicks do what they’re supposed to, and up the block stun so that he can rtsd like in ST.
I believe I read somewhere he’s already getting his super sonic boom from MvC2.
Guile needs hitbox/damage/frame tweaks but seriously, he’s guile, not balrog. Balrog has a headbutt to ultra, that’s why he’s Balrog. Guile has two specials. That’s why he’s Guile. Guile is defensive, nothing new there, nothing needs to be new there. That’s why we have Balrog and Guile, and not Balrog and Balrog-with-a-projectile.

Somebody mentioned FADC forward after a Flash Kick, juggle with his crazy downforward kick and let that juggle to ultra. That ideally would mean to either change the command for that crazy kick or his Ultra.

I think he could use more range on his kicks. In SFII his jumping HK and crouching HK/ MK were like lancers. I was really surprised when I first played him in SFIV. He should be made a little taller too.

-Increase Flash Kick priority. But, I think it would be best to make sure that Guile’s non-EX Flash Kicks don’t have so much priority that they stuff almost all jump ins. Not because it’d be too buff, it’s because if it had too much priority then you wouldn’t be able to trade with Flash Kick then juggle with Sonic Hurricane.:badboy:
-Sonic Hurricane for Ultra II
-Make Flash Kick hitbox cover more behind him.
-EX Flash Kick hits on the first frame.
Guile is one of the strongest spacing/turtling characters in fighting game history. If he had a command throw, it would be a tragedy.
How do you do jack knife? Never seen this. Is that what he’s using to comb his hair? When did hair combing become a Guile attack?
yea, this has been mentioned in the Guile forum a time or 3. Getting crossed up sometimes becomes a guessing game. This would remedy that.

Every player has execution issues, that’s what Training Mode is for. Extra moves are not needed.
Yeah dude, i second guile, only reason being that he’s unique in having 2 moves only. Besides, those 2 moves have an amazing usage range, well maybe not fk so much, but sonic boom is almost unrivaled. I honestly, dont see many problems with guile.
