Much better, now maybe people will listen to you.
Myself, I don’t care, I wanted all the costumes and if they did transfer over I’d get the complete pack anyway because it’s cheaper than buying what I would be missing.
Jimbo who cares what you think their words meant and why? AFTER may 13th they said that PC costumes will NOT transfer over, there really shouldn’t be any debate
Luckily the entire costume set of 103 costumes will only be $15 for PC so the costumes you got “conned” out of will be easy to get back
First off where did they say this? It was repeatedly reported elsewhere that they would.
Just because some of you feel “PC owners should know SSFIV customers don’t include them” doesn’t make it true.
I wonder if anyone realized all 103 alternate costumes are already installed in your game directory… >.>
If you want a particular alt that badly right now while you are waiting to purchase the DLC pack so you can have 4 costume slots per character, it would take you all of 5 minutes to replace the default costume with your alt of choice. I did it for the whole cast while the issue gets sorted.
Also, they did not state that PC costumes would carry over, because the file system for said costumes has been changed.
Capcom, on 5-13-11 less than two months before the games release on PC stated in a blog addressing a multi-platform release
"If you’ve previously purchased the costumes (for either SFIV or SSFIV), they’ll be there".
And the Mod community can translate a skin in less than 5 minutes, not that capcom would even need to do that as just opposed to unlocking the Vanilla skins to people who already purchased them, as they said they intended to do.***
Multi-platform meaning Xbox 360 and PS3, not PC.
Notice how he didn’t specifically state that DLC from Steam SFIV wouldn’t carry over, but that DLC from PC SFIV period would not carry over.
You probably got confused by the following:
This is a question asking if the DRM will also restrict DLC costumes. Not if you can use the ones you bought in SF4 PC. Are we clear now?
EDIT:
From the original post about the PC version of SSF4 AE. Not one time was it stated that vanilla PC DLC would carry over to AE PC.
i have an xbox 360 myself.
i do not own any of the original sf4 alt costumes.
i was wondering if i bought them now would they work on ae ?
If you have the steam edition they can’t be carried over because as part of its terms, GFWL cannot sell DLC in steam games.
Notice how he didn’t specifically state that DLC from Steam SFIV wouldn’t carry over, but that DLC from PC SFIV period would not carry over. (as posted above)
Stop crying and buy this.

15 bucks for ALL the costumes. That’s a hell of an apology if you ask me.
It’s just costumes.
you guys know if I can buy the the PC costumes with MS points? My GFWL and Xbox Live accounts are the same.
They were certainly only talking about the console release not containing costumes. If you don’t wanna pay out then don’t.
that’s pretty crappy.
Reading comprehension is a bitch.
Not being able to admit your mistake is even worse.
"Does the boxed version contain all the alternate costumes?
If you’ve previously purchased the costumes (for either SFIV or SSFIV), they’ll be there; if, though, you didn’t play the previous games or just didn’t buy the costumes before, you’ll have to do so with the boxed version like normal."
Sorry i created an SRK account just to say that TC is an idiot.
'For either SFIV or SFFIV’
They are DEFINATELY talking aobut SSFIVAE Console versions here.
The only “Street Fighter 4” that came out for PC at the time was "Street Fighter 4"
“Super Street Fighter IV” never came out for PC. So, how can there be costumes from SSFIV?
“Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition” is the second “Street Fighter 4” game that came out for PC.
God. If i wrote this earlier, the argument would stop. I cant believe the TC and a few people below him are blinded from my above facts!
Unless you ONLY want the alt1 costumes for vanilla characters, it’s a moot point. The all costume pack is cheaper than just buying all of the additional costumes would have been.
