I at least would like 2D fighters to have graphics that doesn’t resemble the 90’s. But oh well I’m not TOO much of a graphics whore.
What can you expect? Gouki and Stop are the dedicated anti fanboy/mvc2 police.
Well I know a lot of people play and love MvC2 and you know they reused graphics.
CvS2 reused graphics and got complained about, but people still play it anyway.
3s didn’t re-use any, and you know how long it took for THAT game to catch on/become popular?

Those pics look very cut and paste… Wowz-r I can use photoshop layers cut and paste. In fact, besides the official art/backgrounds, I think that even I could have made the exact same photos in less than an 1/2 hour. Lol, hyping up a new game with less than one hours work of photoshop? Good ol’ CAPCOM.
Funny how CAPCOM makes backgrounds first before they even begin on the actual game… is this a good sign? Or did they have some left over stages from CvS2 and actually haven’t even started on anything besides character art…
Still, a new Capcom 2D fighter is a good thing. Anything to keep the scene alive is a good thing.

Uh, dude? Everyone has shadows in these pics, except for the shots where both characters are jumping, in which case the shadows move so low on the screen that you can’t see them.

True, but some one might have saw that on the capcom site and said: “Hey! CFJ could mean anything! This is a great opportunity to go screw with some people!”.
On the other hand -if it is a hoax- then it’s well thought out and a lot of work went into it.

Time_Stop was calling other people hypocites because they aren’t consistant with their complaints (bashing snk, but not capcom).
In other words: Time_Stop wasn’t attacking people who complain. Just attacking people who don’t complain consistantly.

I wasn’t bashing Street Fighter Anniversary Edition when it’s all versions of SF2 vs Super Turbo just because they’re rehashed sprites.
The concept of this new Capcom fighter is interesting. Just wait until a complete product shows more info, in-game footage, and all your pleasuring love of an almost dead fighting game franchise(Almost as dead as Tekken and Mortal Kombat) Sorry to sound so popularity assasination, but it’s true. Do you think casual gamers give a damn about that?
I dunno, maybe it’s just me, but I’d rather have a game with recycled sprites that plays great, than a game with shiny new sprites that plays like SvC. Or worse. Doesn’t matter what the game will look like if no one is playing it.
Since arcades are dying and Evo is going console, I wonder if this game will be supported in the tournament scene? Maybe I’m just thinking way too far ahead.
