It’s useless for the most part. It’s either people honestly having an open mind about the trailer (which are only about 6 ) and the rest are either SNK fanboys are people who really have no idea what they’re talking about and worrying about things that don’t matter at this point. Yes, admittingly enough the look of the game is not the best thing popping right now. But nonetheless characters are still being added and the game’s not finished. If anything seeing some of these stupid comments gives me entertainment and makes whoever’s posting them look more like an idiot anyway. I hope ppl give the game a chance to be finished.Gameplay matters. Argue about THAT shit when you’ve played the game maybe? I mean iono maybe all the fanboy scrubs here are elite enough have a special mailed copy of the game to test since most people in here seem to know so much about it from a trailer of an incomplete game…just a thought.:lol:

I think it’s not so much that the sprites are old (Note: Felicia now overtakes MOrrigan as OLDEST SPRITE EVER [10 years]; Demitri too, but Demitri’s sprite has been tweaked with that new red aura of his), or even that they are ALL rehashed save for Ingrid (wait: what if she turns out to bea head swapped Karin/Sakura? OLOLOLOL!) - it’s the fact that the sprites clash horribly that’s the problem. It really does look like a glorified Mugen project, much worse than MvC2 or CvS2. However, at least it still looks better than SvC. 
While this is a step in the right direction overall from the abominable CFAS, so far, as a “new” title, it’s not something that Capcom wants to jump back (?) into the 2D fighting game genre with. A three year absense, and this is all they have to show so far? No…
Furthermore, they’re making one of the same mistakes that the did with CFAS, and that’s the entirely too small cast. Unless they’re pulling an MvC2 and greatly under-reporting the character size (I think it was mentioned early than MvC2 would have over 35 characters or something like that), a cast of merely “over 20”, most of which are recycled sprites, is simply not going to cut it. At least they fixed the other two mistakes from CFAS - namely the whole notion of 3D and the stupid 5 button setup (?).
However, the gameplay is more important than the looks, so it’s possible they can actually crank out a banging game to play out of all this. It’s also possible that they will indeed update some, or perhaps even all of the older sprites to new ones. But I’m not counting on any of this.
In fact, I find myself not really caring that much about this game. Normally I would jump right into the whole “wish list” thing, but at this point it’s such an incomplete mess that I have nothing to say except “the cast better be HUGE”. That’s all. I really don’t care who hey throw in there, as long as they’re lotsa characters. It’s the only way the game will succeed.
Oh wait, one other thing: SF3 characters will be broken if they can parry.

Well remember this. If the initial response isn’t great capcom can always scrap the game and start from scratch. I mean they are only 30% done. PLUS look at what capcom has done with RE4. They completely scrapped the initial project which was a totally different game and came through with something totally new. So there is always hope
uh, the same can be said for any capcom fans to. come on… i’ve said this before and i’ll say it again, all the years of taunting, interrupting snk threads, making flame threads. im not saying to start a flame war. that really sucks. it’d be nice to have a discussion on any fighter. But really, its ok for capcom fans to flame on snk games, but its NOT ok for snk fans to flame a capcom game?

Capcom has released details on its new 2D fighting game Capcom Fighting Jam. The game features characters from SFII, SFIII, SF Alpha, Darkstalkers, and Red Earth. A 2-on-2 system is used in the game, you can use the character change system to choose a combatant for each round of the battle. Pitting the right competitor against the opponent based on the strengths of the fighting system will be the key to victory.
Announced characters so far:
Street Fighter II - Ryu, Guile
Darkstalkers - Demitri, Felicia
Street Fighter III - Yun, Chun-Li
Red Earth - Leo, Hauser
Street Fighter Alpha - Guy, Sakura
Capcom Fighting All-Star - characters from this canceled 3D fighter are also present in the game

please, i cant believe i just read this. with all the snk flame threads that were started and made by capcom fanboys about how snk reuses the same sprites over and over. If they didn’t care about the sprites, WHY would they even start the flame war about snk reusing sprites over and over? apparently people that start flame wars about that DO care about the sprites.
