When I first found this place I was bewildered by all the technical slang and etc. But I just lurked for a few months to familiarize myself with the place rather than posting dumb questions which I knew from other forums would just get me mocked. Maybe you should consider this (although I guess it doesn’t really matter now since you’ve already been abused, just chill out a bit).
Yeah, you may not be up to date, and most people won’t mind answering your questions. But bumping a year old thread to say something everyone’s heard before IN THE SAME THREAD is stupid. Posting threads about things we’ve all seen a million times before is stupid. Asking questions you could easily find the answers to by searching is stupid. Why should we make allowances for you?
You’re at least literate which is more than I can say for most new people who join and start posting right away, but you need to get rid of that victim mentality and just figure out how things work here before you go hog wild with the posting.
You’re right, it’s not good enough. In fact I would say there is probably nothing you could’ve posted in this particular thread that woud’ve been “good enough”. Look at the subject matter of the thread. It’s “game that got cancelled before release > mediocre game that no one cares about and might as well have been cancelled”. It’s basically a non-thread from a year ago about 2 long forgotten games.
Then you post a year later “um hey guys I don’t think I’ll play this game, and that other game is probably not that good since it didn’t get released”. How did you come to the colclusion that this was a good idea?
Amen. CFE isn’t as bad, SRK = Hyperbole. Maybe the reason people who’ve played the game and hate it is because there’s nothing to truly exploit in the game. It is very balanced.
Now if you hate the game for how vapid the graphics/options/etc… is, I can understand, but that doesn’t seem to be the case from what I’ve seen.
Do you think they intended it to be balanced? Do you think they sat there and looked at all the options all the freaking characters had, and made note to fix it, hopefully to result in a balanced game?
I sincerely doubt it. Feels more like an accident (again). I don’t have anything against CFE, though it does get a tiny bit boring to play sometimes, and I’d much rather play VS anyway.

You’re probably not fit for this website. We’re that into games. Fighting games at that. And no, it’s not okay to discuss something that was established back when the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air had new episodes. Trust me, when 18 different people tell you your opinion isn’t valid, it probably isn’t. We try to be progressive at shoryuken.com, not retrogressive. I’m sure there are plenty of old-school video games forums that you could frequent without being slaughtered by jerks.

on a SIDE note… i’m sitting here in a computer lab… and this blind dude that used to bother me in the tech support room about using a computer… just brought in his own computer and a printer and is setting the shit up… We’re in a computer lab mind you, open to every ESU student… with his laptop, he is unable to connect to the web, UNLIKE on the actual computers in the lab… is this guy seriously fucking joking?
:rolleyes: I’ve had my PS2 for 3+ years and own less than 10 games for it, and I’m pretty hardcore into fighters. Besides, CFJ is hardly old-school, whereas ST is and that gets plenty of discussion.
