The only thing that could lead the CFN to be a good online platform is for it to allow a player to send a non-ranked battle invitation to another player from the other platform… this would be really neat
Didn’t Portal 2 allow for this since it was on both PS3 and Steam. I recall having to enter either my Steam info on my PS3 or my PSN on my Steam account when playing it. Helps that buying one disc gave you both versions.
I definitely don’t mind you having an opinion. Im not here to make fun of it like some others are (its still not as zany as some of the other shit people say here), but this is the future of SF
I just don’t see how it takes you out of the game’s atmosphere. I’m pretty sure you are not gonna get tournament results popping up while in a match or anything. And I have never seen anyone complain about showing latest news and dlc deals being a bad thing.
It’s like me saying “I hope they don’t have a random select, it ruins the fact that you have to pick a character.”
I think they should go eeeven further and implement an in built stream to the CFN main menu for CapcomFighters events, or at something you can click on that takes you to the browser version or something. As long as all streaming traffic is disabled as soon as they decided to enter a ranked/player match.
I’d like a way for people to advertise events on a list.
Not something with popups and graphics like the majors, just a text based list people could look at.
For example lets say I run a weekly every thursday starting at 6 pm. I can go to a section and put a few sentences in.
“SFV weekly every thurs 6 pm at x location! Also MKX and GG XRD” Then it lets me put a zip code/other identifier.
Then if someone goes to the “search for events” section they could do like “search for events within 30 miles of my location” and maybe mine is only 10 miles away, so they see my event and any others that meet their parameters.
I’d like if they integrated a stream system to watch events on capcom network, showed who is leading in capcom cup rankings, which tournament is happening during the month, and character match up data for how many wins they have against one another.
I would imagine it would work where you can click on someone’s profile and it will notify you if they are streaming from twitch. Which if you click on their stream it fires up the twitch app and their stream.
Only thing that’s gonna be kinda annoying to me is that god forbid you play against the wrong people and then it’s like “lol your record online isn’t as good as mine so u suk rofl”
“My record of 570 wins, 0 losses, and 27381 disconnects is much better!”
You can definitely stream to twitch. I was testing it yesterday with ultra sf4 in prep to test it for sfv. You can definitely play on ps4 and stream directly to your twitch stream. I was also able to save what I was playing for later. Also I was able to save my games and save them to my PC so I could easily post them here if I wanted to (not that anyone wants to see my random sf4 games, but I could)
More importantly, come beta 2, it’d be no problem to save sfv play and then link it here no problem. After fiddling with it, I realized it’d be really easy for me to be like “Hey guys played the beta day 1, here’s 10 hours of me playing” and you could watch all you want. It’d be in like 12 pieces, but who cares.
