Pockett.net is reporting that Capcom will release this compilation as a digital download next year. It’s being made for home consoles and handhelds, a Vita port is definitely possible. It’s not known yet if it will include online play and what games are on it.
The cover seems to show
Legendary Wings
Commando
Section Z
Gunsmoke
Trojan
UN Squadron
Black Tiger
Ghosts 'N Goblins
1942
Sonson
This reminds me of the “Capcom Arcade” app that in the Apple Store where you got a bunch of games, and they updated it with new ones from time to time. You were given free tokens daily to play each game, in full, until you ran out or you had the options to buy more tokens or just buy the game and keep it forever. (Until Capcom just gave everyone 10 free tokens and then you had no choice but to use real money since)
I wonder if this is going to be in the same format?
EDIT: Re-read it, gotta stop trying to read stuff when I just wake up. For some reason, that app popped up in my head. Then again, could a freemium thing like that work on PSN and XBLA?
Sounds kinda like Neo Geo Station, heres hoping that this one actually gives the fans what they want instead of just rehashed collections and nothing worth a damn like on the PS3 version, I hear xbox lucked out and actually got battle colliseum and UM2k2/ 98 good on them wish SNK would show some love but otherwise I’m hopeful for this.
Just keep realistic expectations here. Don’t be heartbroken if Cadillac’s and Dinosaurs, The Punisher, and the Dungeon and Dragon series aren’t included. Licensing can be a bitch.
Beyond that, I see some Michelle Heart and someone mentioned U.N. Squadron. Im down for that! (Although the SNES port was way better lol.)
well a your stealing.
B updated version on various performs likely including leader boards and achievements if your into that.
Rarely do these releases come bare boned as direct ports.
Often they have versions, updates, and content that may never have had international releases.
People really still think they can release any version of CvS2, remake, part of a collection or otherwise? It’s been beaten to death why it isn’t happening, if they haven’t listened by now, then damn.
looks like they are going the route of Xbox’s failed Game Room. Where its starts off with a base set of games (looks like 3 or 4) and then they eventually add more games to the title in the future. Not surprising, knowing Capcom’s money grubbing tactics.
