I have a Horror story about the no hotel room and checking vacancies + security deposit for just 1 night that started at like midnight, making a total = like a full month of rent, didn’t settle for that. Had to have some pride and dignity saying, not “I can’t afford that, that’s loco en la cabeza, no comprende your security deposit all 150% of the room rate FFS that breaks down to $50 an hour insane shit”

but “Thanks for the estimate of $$$.$$, I’ll think about it and maybe I will come back if I don’t have any other options.”

Other cheaper places also said I was broke like a joke maybe due to untold amounts of security deposits again.

& got the best sleep I managed to get the whole weekend on “that couch thing” thanks to another player and their gracious help. Slept thru the session going on nextdoor or whatever though. Damn, maybe next time.[/details]

Quite a while ago I went to a conference in San Francisco and searched for ages for an arcade. Found one eventually and played some 3s on a grimey american cab with lots of dirty cigarette burns. Was this maybe Southtown? How many arcades were there 7 or 8 years ago?
