Without judges seemingly in the scene and knowing whats up I’d advise you guys to go ahead and do without the taps, if you need headphones, you can do a simple Headphone splitter on the standard 3.5mm jacks on the TV, and not $80 $100 turtlebeach unnecessary stuff even if its supplied. Checkout the guy in my Avatar, he’s clearly cheating. Jerk, with the 720 THawk flicks of the wrist on video… do those for Hugo plz, include setups only you do and try?!

I’m not too concerned about the set-up situation/lag at the Austin tournament because the situation could be quite different in NYC. I doubt someone is like driving a van with the laggy monitors across the country, but I guess PS3s and TVs don’t grow on trees so maybe they’re shipping them around. To hell with those headphone hubs, though. It’s a neat idea to have the headphones - game sound is very important to a lot of people - but if there is any question about whether they interfere, they shouldn’t be used. I personally would ask anyone I was playing if they would be ok playing straight into the system… just turn the TV up really loud. That’s how arcades roll.
Even if I were empathetic to the people who find headphones necessary, they use the sound as a cue for timing. What good is it to accommodate these people if it means making the lag even worse?

The multi tap hub thing has ports for it, I’m sure. I doubt these tournaments will provide anything but the prestige and pot money.
I will try and find some headphones, I don’t do too well with hundreds of people yelling behind me. Not even in the arcade did I ever do well in that situation.

I’d do headphones but then I never play using them anyway. Also, I’ve grown accustomed to people yelling shit around me when I play, so to cut that off might unnerve me a bit.
