Brooklyn rage! I’ve typed a damn book TWICE just for my post to be deleted because of something stupid.
One… more… time…
As far as invitations go, and I speak only for myself, if u want a training dummy I recommend training mode. Because that is all I’m good for in tat game right now. As u know from other fighting games, playing someone less skilled tends to rust your abilities. I simply will not play someone in a game in which I don’t know the basics. All that will do to u is give u really bad habits, and trust me, not fadcing a flash kick is still a problem for me sometimes to this day. So, it wasnt ignored. When I own the game, I will be happy to come pal around and learn nuances.
That being said, like mvc3, I don’t intend to get any better than having the ability to give u guys a good look. Sf is my game of choice. But I learn and watch other stuff too, because i know it helps everyone involved. That is what Thursday are for me. I level up more after the fact, because whatever u guys use to beat me, I will learn it, and figure a way to defeat it during the week. You absolutely can fine tune during our night there.
Which brings me to what I’m trying to accomplish with our group. The obvious is to grow us up so we are constantly getting new faces and players in our stables. That is true to any serious group. However, my main concern is getting us exposure. I’ve been in talks with someone that will stream our monthly tourneys when they happen. The more exposed we become, the more people you’ll be able to play against because Idk if u know this, but… we are considered East coast, and there’s tons of players for all of our games within a state or two of us. I’m not saying we’ll get constant visits from these people, but when people think of Ohio, I want them to think of CFC.
Lastly ill close with a few things. Mainly, if u guys want to switch nights thats fine. Way back when were still at Perkins three of us talked in the parking lot trying to get all of this straightened out, when we made an announcement we’d be looking for people to step up and take over since Jeff was going to be a father soon. After agreeing on fox and hound we discussed what night would be best for everyone. We had I think three responses, and all but one of them said Thursday. So three months later when things started to come together. I picked Thursday. If there’s a better night let’s do it. Nothing is set in stone, but on busier nights I need a guaranteed number to show up. I don’t give a rats ass when we play, but fnh will not make life easy if they see this as a worthwhile thing, which right now, I don’t think it is for them. Help yourself by helping me get the word out. Let’s go put out some flyers, or something. This is not a one man job, and while i know some of u guys just want to play, if u take a moment. I need more people to step up than just me. Even if its something as easy as bringing power strips or better yet extension chords. If u guys have a camera we can use for matches of interest then tell me about it. Our fight nights are about camaraderie to me, and everything else is second. I see u guys like family and I just want to know that other people feel the same. I’m not just the guy that sets stuff up. So sorry if i came off in a way that might say otherwise. I really have good intentions and grand expectations for our group. It just takes a step back to see the large picture.
