Can't fix analog drift

So one by one I’m hacking all of my arcade sticks for xbox one. One pad in particular has a left analog drift because it was all jacked up. I ended up removing it completely things that it would at least deadzone okay. It seems like it’s stuck in the same position though. Don’t know if anyone has advice on this. Thanks

You just can’t remove the Analog stick from a controller PCB.
By removing the analog stick you leave the analog signal floating.
With no analog stick there the PCB “thinks” you are hitting one of the corners.

You have to Neutralize it by putting resistors into place (4 Total, and they all have to be the same value), this works as it makes the PCB think the stick is in a neutral position.

Here a solution from someones old question on another thread

1, 2, 7, 11 are just to hold structural post for the left analog.
3, 4, 5, 6 are L3 and R3

12, 13 and 14 is one pot and 8, 9 and 10 is the other pot

You need resistors going from 13 to 12 and 14.

And from 9 going to 10 and 8

Thanks for the resources. I really appreciate you both taking the time. I’m using a power A controller which I forgot to mention but I can tell it’s a nearly identical setup. My resistors are consistent but I don’t have any 10k which after reading more, seems like that might be my issue. I’m planning on making tutorials once I have it worked out for others.

I like to see what you come up with

I don’t know enough about analog stick where I can get Stan to “build from scratch” an analog digitizer. But I have enough smarts to know how to cannivbaluzevexisting equipment in therory, and I know an NES style pad for a 15 pin PC port, plus an “arariage: bohoki” adaptet uses exactly what we need forva fight stick to work on a 5200. Likewise i thought the powrt a rung fingetprigrammable buttons are a fready made analig digitizet for xbox obe
