Cannot buy SF3:TS OE

I recently bought a PS3. Downloaded the SF3 OE trial from PSN store. Entered the game, then went to unlock full game. Game takes me back to PSN store, but then says “There are no items that you can purchase at this time.”

What’s going on?

don’t buy it, it sucks

As much as I love 3s, you’re wasting your money till they fix it. Seriously go buy yourself some beer and pizza and watch a movie, more satisfying.

Get 5 on it instead of paying for 3SOE.

Change thread title to “Don’t buy SF3:TS OE”.

Seriously if you really want to buy it make a us or eu psn account maybe then you can buy it, it really is a waste of money tough. Just play emu version and wait and see if they fix it.

What’s so bad about OE? Isn’t it meant to be the arcade perfect port? The bad thing about the emulated version for me, is that it didn’t have a training mode. That was my main beef.

You have no idea how many people just became re-enraged.

I kinda feel like I’m being left in the dark here. Is there something wrong with it being an arcade port or is it nowhere near an perfect arcade port? Can’t be too bad offline if it’s being used at Wednesday Night Fights or at least was. Haven’t watched it for a while.

It’s better than emu in some areas but still not close to arcade perfect.

This is getting kinda off-track from my original topic, but just curious - what are the actual differences between the arcade and OE? Is there a thread somewhere that covers this?

Raise’s bloodsoaked hand.

The differences in gameplay aren’t extreme. It feels better to me than emulation for sure. As compared to ps2 port, i’m not entirely sure. The main thing people are bothered by is the pointless changing of the hud and music remixes/lack of original arcade music.

The raw game itself is ok. It’s just everything surrounding it blows dick. Everyone expected a NEW port of the game since they specifically mentioned it was based on 990512 build. Instead it’s the sameeeeee port with the same graphical inconsistencies (urien reflector, ryu’s bag, etc) but possibly slightly better speed.

Off the top of my head
Presentation:
-Arcade Music inexplicably missing
-HUD
-Twelve’s XCOPY voice
-Urien’s Aegis Color and Timeover losing pose
-Ryu’s Bag
-SA bars are all shorter
-Even offline, sounds randomly don’t play
-Music randomly stops
-Music is arranged not arcade

Gameplay
-Game freezing Bug fixes (the ones caused by gameplay, you can still get the game to crash going through menus and everything)
-Yun losing shadow fixed
-Yang’s losing Senei Enbu fixed
-Necro/Dudley glitch fixed
-----Not Arcade Perfect
-Players saying timing still not arcade timing
-Trouble with EX moves not coming out
-round/difficulty in options doesn’t change shit

Online
-Worse than PC GGPO
-Randomly invisible characters
-pings dots horribly inaccurate
-matchmaking is ass
-lobbies crash
-other problems

The game is the DC/PS2 console version with a new coat of paint with new problems and some tweaks to make it “closer” to arcade.

Patches haven’t addressed anything major, all problems claimed it fixed are still around. Apparently the latest patch made Parry Training worse in exchange for P2 controls dummy in the other training.

Capcom/Iron Galaxy doesn’t give a fuck, they just made replays better quality for PS3 and fixed the trick to beat all the challenges easily. Lol @ their priorities. No hope for any patches that address anything important, just color packs and shitty “secret” tournament played on laggy monitors.

It’s disappointing. Capcom fucked up.

Even as a casual player of the game I’m dissapointed. I would have been happy if they could just release the game with a matchmaking system that looks like it was conceptualized after 2006 and without all the audio glitches. They couldn’t even do that.

Also in a game like 3rd strike, the game is arcade perfect or it isn’t. Close to arcade perfect doesn’t count with a fanbase as serious and old as this one is, and Capcom should have known better. Its one thing if they wanted to bring one of their other games back from the dead and do a half assed job, but this is friggin Third Strike not Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. It’s like fido has been kinda sickly for a couple years, and one day you come home and he’s all healthy again and jumping around. Your all excited at first, except Fido for some inexplicable reason has a few new spots and he shits all over the rug after chewing on your toys when he didn’t do those things before. Yea, I’m not buying it Capcom. Nice try.

Capcom has finally completed the assassination attempt on Third Strike.

Let’s not forget they publicly bragged about fixing the Remy/Urien neutral throw/aegis glitch. :frowning:

That’s something to kill yourself about, not brag.

This game gave me an ulcer.
