Opips, please stop posting those things here…
sorry. I care you…
and i care about opi!
KabaL,
Yes sir! bump!
KillerCabs has been taken down for a whole month I guess, and I think we’re not going to see it again.
Very sad news because the cabinet wich made me start this thread, was posted there. The photos are still up, but looks like the useful explanations are gone forever
If anyone is interested, I can upload the sketchup file for the candy cab with the dimensions I posted - 100% at scale.
Also, make sure to visit the twin candy cabs thread at Aussie Arcade forums (link is somewhere here), because there’s a lot of useful info there!
People, please start building your own candy cabinets! No more uprights!
uh! you mean no uprights arcade? :lame:
If you said," yes…so what?"
you dislike a upright arcade make by America
I understand. you can’t stand for 1.5 hours or no break time?
NEVER!
P.S. This is a pretty neat thread. If I ever have the time and money I’m going to see if I can fab. myself a cab.
Great to hear that, don’t forget to share pics of the process for all of us.
Definitely post up the sketchup file. I’m sure lots of ppl will be interested in it.
I hope so, here is the file.
I’m by no means a Sketchup artist, so maybe you will find many mistakes, but the most important thing for me, was to be able to check if my TV will fit into that design (actually, it resulted in being very small for that size, as the TV is 21" and the candy cab is made to have a 26" tv in there).
Please, post comments, ideas, questions… Don’t let this thread die!
Here are some pictures of the original “candy cabinet” from wich I took the dimensions off, and the sketchup file of my previous post is based on that same cabinet.

Looks bad, isn’t it? Wellcome to chilean arcades!
Photos taken from my cellphone. Any questions?
I don’t see the pics
I don’t know really - does A2 stands for Alpha 2, as in Street Fighter Alpha 2? If so, then no. The few people I know that play the Alpha series, are stuck to A3.
Do you know the name of that cabinet? I’ve got 2 more photos that I didn’t share before, here it is, is the little yellow square sticker under the CP (on some machines it’s light green):

dragonJAB, if you want, I can send you those pictures via PM. Let me know if you want.
OK, thanks. Do you think is worth buying one of those (in that exact condition… the monitor seems to work fine)?
I think they would ask like US$200 for one, and we don’t have any Astros nor Egrets around here…
EDIT: What am I talking about? This thread is to BUILD a candy cabinet, not BUYING one! Haha sorry.
Do you think that machine still has korean parts? Maybe Crown joystick and buttons?
After seeing that Lindberg style arcade cabinet and drooling constantly over the pictures of it, I have a burning urge to build one. I have clearance to land from my wife so I’m good to go. If it’s anything like my other arcade cabinet that I built, it’s going to take a while and it’ll eat me up inside until it’s finished.
Damn that thing is hot…
Ok, own up, who’s building one right now and what display have you gone for?
