They’re already unlocked
you’re an asshole, but I liked that comment because it made me laugh sort of hard.

Like I said, you can try it yourself.
That’s for 2 people on the same console right? I tried it but I didn’t get that message to press start to join. What am I missing here?
Are we talking about Ranked or Endless? Could it be that the feature works in Endless but not in Ranked?
Yeah, it’s for two people on the same console.
Just try going to a ranked match or something, select the character you want to be, and then it should prompt you. That’s been what I’ve been doing and I haven’t had any problems.
The video I posted was recorded from a ranked match
Did you try messing with the Partner settings on the Network menu?
Apparently you can. Thanks for being so sure before answering. Dumb fuck
Seems to only work for ranked and not endless.
Huh. That’s strange. Admittedly I only tried it in ranked because I couldn’t find any endless games to join, but I just assumed it wouldn’t be any different. Doesn’t make much sense for it to be only in ranked.
ecksyz I just tried it in a ranked match and I still didn’t get the message to press start for 2nd player. So it means it can probably work in endless as well. How are you getting that option? Are you signed in with 2 accounts at the same time?
Not a good idea to report someone after doing the exact same thing. Just sayin’
I’m on PS3, but if you’re on 360 that could be the problem. I didn’t alter any settings beforehand, all I did was go to join a ranked match and every time I chose my first character it would ask if I wanted to play with a local partner in that lower left box. Maybe try signing in with two profiles, and if that doesn’t work then I don’t know what the problem could be.
Yes I’m on the 360. If it doesn’t work because 360 doesn’t support that then what a bummer…
I didn’t report him for 1, for 2 I wasn’t being serious thats why I directly quoted him instead going off on a rant.
I thought Shoryuken was for big boys who could take jokes, he sure didn’t seem to mind.
doesn’t matter anyway, whatever the problem is I hope i’ll be able to play with friends online.
I would be really surprised if it was on PS3 only. There must just be something missing here. Do you have the manual for the game? Maybe it says something about it in there. I’ll look for mine and see if it’ll shed any light on the situation
I’ll do the same. Thanks for helping out. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants this to work
On page 22, “A Quick Tip from Dan: If you have two controllers, you can team up with a friend to play an online battle! It’s easy – just press the START button on the other controller while at the Character Select screen! This is called Local Pair Play!”
Well that isn’t very helpful.
Uh oh. It doesn’t say that in my manual… Seriously now 360?
Hmmm. Maybe it’s on another page in the 360 manual?
If it really winds up being that it’s not possible to have a local partner on 360, that’ll be pretty inexcusable of Capcom
