If you think MVC3 is a joke, then why are you playing it to begin with?
The fact that you spend all this time playing the game, and DC’ing whenever you’re about to lose, makes it painfully obvious that losing a match angers you on some level.
You can throw out all the “stay mads” you want. It doesn’t change the fact that you:
- Like the game enough to actually put time into it
- Hate losing so much that you hit stand-by on your router whenever you’re about to get beat.
That is one of the saddest things I’ve ever heard. I don’t care how you rationalize it.

Also, I dislike people who quit early but Quitter=/=Rage Quitter. So all the arguments about people ‘being salty’ and quitting is pointless.
Pretty much, not to mention that you then need to wait while the game does the ‘Waiting for Opponent’ screen, then wait again while it takes you back to the main menu, then wait AGAIN while you need to search for the next match. If you really didn’t care about the record then why not just play through to the end and not waste so much time?
There was a guy who used to do this on SSFIV all the time as well, it was weird. He was a decent player but had a 96% disconnect rate, when I asked him why he disconnected every single time he said “XBOX LIVE IS 90% SCRUBS U DO THE MATH” or something to that effect.
In any event, the ragequit hell certainly doesn’t seem to have any effect, and i really don’t know if there is any solution to it. I find the amount of ragequitting isn’t too bad though, I usually don’t get it that often.

maybe they should make it so that both people lose win percentage when there is a disconnect just like in Tatsunoko vs Capcom. It seems that people are DCing to keep their win percentage high. People that don’t DC really don’t care about their win percentage.

not a rage message. they are taunts. we assume the quitter is salty, so we rub it in…lol. Rage messages are sent by the person who lost/quit and usually express anger, frustration and occasionally contain swear words.
