This forum is a mess. There is no other way to describe it. This place needs character sections BADLY. Every single character thread is filled with:
[LIST]
[]The same 3 questions over and over.
[]Terrible combos starting with like 5 jump-in normals and other completely impractical situations.
[]Almost NONE of the OPs are being updated because the same guy made just about every character’s thread then disappeared.
[]Lack of information on specific subjects because there is no actual subject at hand in any of the threads. It’s the same topic over and over “what’s the BnB for this character” (would be a hell of a lot easier to answer if we could have a character specific combo thread", “how do I get in” (character general discussion thread would be great for this but NOPE), “what’s the best assist for ____” (team composition thread would be extremely helpful for stuff like this)

I think this game is pretty big and it’s getting a lot of hype which is why the forum is a complete mess right now. Too many people want to post garbage combos and not enough other information is being spread around. Having character specific sub-forums would help just because we could have more than one thread on a character and have dedicated OPs to the threads so that they can be updated with new information.
So if we want to do a petition or something for character sub-forums who should we go to? I think this needs to be done very soon.
Yep, I agree. The combo thing should start to fix itself in a while as people know more about the game’s system. If we don’t get the sub-forums soon, Jin made a nice thread where he is listing all the character’s BnBs with information on who does it work with etc.
I’m going to have to agree with you. This forum is pretty useless right now for anything other ran random posts about the game. Hopefully if enough people show enough interest in this thread, maybe something can be done.
I guess. It’s looking pretty bleak though when I still see combos mid-screen starting with a jump-in from the front. I think I can count on one hand I’ve hit somebody with a front jump in during a real match against anybody good in any fighting game.
It’s good to know Deviljin made a thread for the combos though. That’s good to know and I’m gonna definitely check that out.
As it is now though, with the sub-forum the way it is now, this game is going to go nowhere.
If Skullgirls gets sub-forums I’ll have to make a brand new salt thread for the KOF, Tekken, BlazBlue, etc people who have wanted character specific forums for a long time.
Well one of the things people have to take into consideration is that this isn’t really a “fighting game” forum. This is a Capcom forum, so it’s kinda like trying to get a bunch of KOF stuff on Smashboards.
But don’t Tekken and Blazblue players already have another forums they go to more often (Ex.Dustloop for BB)? KOF is the only sub-forums I see active from time to time here, but don’t they have another website too (DreamCancel?)?. We need some sub-forum for Skullgirls.
But those sites are considerably slower than SRK though. The communities here are perhaps the fastest despite being on a capcom site. But yeah I see your point.
I guess, but those forums already have communities willing to make a completely new forum and have been around for years. This is a new game that seems to have gotten a lot of success already and was made by someone here so I thought having a forum for it would have been supported more.
SRK staff takes their time. They probably wanna wait for some tournaments to go by too or something. Ultimately if they see numbers and we raise voices I’m sure it can go down. I mean the guy who made the game went to Evo for years any way. We’ll see how soon or late it goes down.
I would at least PM some mods or something like that. I dunno.
I just do what I can and let the gods do the rest.
