Since 2DF and I guess GGPO are P2P, can traffic shaping affect them in a bad way. Also, to have a good experience, do I need a good upload, download, PC, modem, all of them , or what?
I want to upgrade my connection and try some Street Fighter online, but right now I’m clueless on what to do for an optimum performance.
Dental patients began to request teeth whitening in the 1970s. At that time, dentists knew that by applying a product with hydrogen peroxide to a patient?s teeth they could eliminate any stain on those same teeth. Yet, that time-consuming teeth whitening method forced patients to spend many hours in the dentist?s chair.www.teethsmile.org
I don’t get what you mean by traffic shaping , so I don’t know what to tell you there .
Sometimes you really can’t improve internet connection . Lag from playing with people around the world most likely varies from your location or any use of firewall ( If you have serious problems with PC games online not dealing with the 2 , talk to your Internet provider ) . Sometimes it can also be firewall that you may not know . My computer which has an Asus motherboard came with a CD that installs Nvidia stuff including firewall , and that firewall lag the hell out of my connection during GGPO and Mame Kaillera . It took me a long time to find it and recently found it while in the CTRL ALT DELETE menu , finding that certain process that was using up some memory ( Nsvc something , can’t remember . ) . Killed it and GGPO ran with no lag at all ( I still remember that day , texting WOOOO a lot lol . ) . Best of luck for you my friend . I’m pretty sure more people here can help you out with this question/situation .
Depends on how it’s shaped and what you are using/playing. Regardless of hearing us babbling about networks…it’d be much better if you just give it a test run.
