Can playing fighting games help you in an actual street fight?

Maybe!
like the need to combo and block
Maybe not so literal and like, I NEED TO YOGA BALL!

But rather the technique and appreciation for being able to block, parry, counter at the right times…

I’ve been known to send a Tiger Shot at my opponents every now and then.

It would go out the window in an actual fight. Getting punched in the face hurts, having someone come at you can be frightening if you have not been put in that situation before, that would cause you to freeze up and get punched in the face.

Is all about playing like MvC2 Cable and pulling out that gat and shooting.

You still lose to rush down and run away though.

I usually get an early life lead then run the clock out.

I’ve always said that I only need to get to know how to do the kick that King from Tekken does, the one when he kicks middle, the opponent semi-blocks the kick, then he jumps twisting to the other side and kicks the head with the other leg. After that, I’m all set.

I use to do the Sub-Zero slide when I was younger, shit actually worked.

another good application is runaway style, only in the streets the stage is nearly infinite. Throw in potential projectiles such as trash can lids and glass bottles, and you have a direct application of fighting game tactic in a real fight.

More like, you fucking nerds better learn to down and back to reduce the fucking damage youre about to take.

Irl all attacks do tick damage.

I think you should go back to gamefaqs.
