Can anyone help me fix my arcade stick please ( made from a PS3 controller)

sorry for my english , its not my native language so… anyway
im having trouble with my arcade stick, now i cant get it to work, everytime i plug on the pc, the stick doesnt recognize as an joystick, and it keeps showing theres something wrong with the usb

so, i reinstalled windows, all drivers are up to date and then, i figured out that when i move the usb cable inside the arcade stick, it disconnects and reconnects, but it doesnt recognize yet, looks like the usb cable itself is screwed up

this is the scheme of my arcade stick

i checked the usb wiring and its like this

im not sure if its something wrong, or outworn

Cut and re-solder the USB cable then. It looks pretty bad; can’t say for sure that it’s the source of the problem, but it definitely won’t hurt to fix it up.

Also, that’s not only way too much hot-glue, but also used incorrectly. You should never cover your solder joint with hot glue.

Double check that you have drivers for a PS3 controller if you reinstalled windows.
I’m pretty sure it didn’t used to have drivers for the PS3 controller by default or via windows update.
