Yep, Cammy vs DeeJay was a 4-pages exclusive story for the Newtype Magazine. It explains why DeeJay was ranked in Shadaloo in issue #9; I was hoping to see it reissued in a trade paperback but, since side stories are excluded from TPB, chances to see those 4 pages printed again are poor. :xeye:

So you mean to tell me that along with all the back-stories, Udon are making up the plot for the comic book via another magazine aswell? WTF!?
No, that was just a story to promote the comic at its beginning.
It appeared in the Newtype issue of November 2003.
So it was just a one-off? I see, will it ever appear as a back-story in the comics does anyone know? DeeJay’s appearence in Shadaloo has to be exlained sometime surely? Though I don’t see why this particular story would have been a preview for the comic 
It was all explained in the Newtype story…I’ve already answered this question several times…It was part story/promotional in Newtype. It was NOT drawn by Alvin or Arnold, and it’s really annoying since they printed the pages out of order. Bison tells Cammy to go, she goes, she spanks DJ, she takes him back, the end. They put him in issue 9 as a tip of the hat to the people that read Newtype. As kagero said, it’s in the November 2003 issue. If you feel like paying 12 bucks for what is essentially a back up story, be my guest.

Anyone notice that the name on the capsule is “Cammy” instead of “Killer Bee”. Just thought I’d point that out…

Someone else said that in another thread.
Just checked throught the posts and saw something similar in “Cammy Short-Stores Questions”. The guy there thought it was in a back story of Issue 3 or 4. I was commenting on the NewType backup instead. Anyway, just thought I’d mention it, not a biggie.

That is really odd. I have the actual issue (got it a few days ago) and it says “DOLL 01 KILLER BEE” on there instead.
Prehaps the artist changed it for the final version but didn’t update that on his site. Nice to see it was spotted before it was sent to the printers. Shows attention to detail.
