Cammy Video Thread

this is a great way to punish opponents that like to cross you up

Imagine, does that only work on short characters? I could not get that to work on ryu except at a very specific range

Also, this is what I was talking about earlier. I’m kinda perplexed still:

If it’s the same recording every time here, my only guess is that within a certain proximity if you input MP+MK~LK+LP either your V-Skill or Throw input will get priority.

Which is weird because with this sort of input you should always be getting V-Skill because that’s inputted first and never a throw whiff (but you will tech throws when timed correctly).

Either that or training mode recording is messing up? Maybe its been hard-coded like this on purpose so that if your V-Skill and Throw inputs are too close this happens.

They’ve removed the vskill os throw tech from the game after Xian revealed it.
What’s going on here though, imo, is that when you hit your opponent with the dive kick, your opponent is in hitstun which eats up your vskill input but you recover in time where the game registers your throw tech.
In the instance where you whiffed your dive kick, you landed in time for the game to register your vskill input.

edit: you know, i think i may be giving false information. i just retested the vskill os throw tech and i got it to work. i’m sorry about that.

Oh right I didn’t consider how block stun would affect the recording. That seems like a reasonable conclusion.

yep it works on Ryu. i’m assuming youre talking about the setup where the j.mp hits in the front but you land in the back? you just have to press the j.mp a bit earlier.

i don’t mind releasing secret tech now that the game has been released and the first major is coming up.
i didn’t want to release this stuff before release date cause i was afraid Capcom would patch it.

This video is set to private :<

sorry here it is

there’s a lot more secret tech but i don’t want to break the game so early

Why do you plink the mp? I don’t think it helps (even though it looks like it on the inputs). Double tapping is the only way to “help” you with input timing.

I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I’ve read that plinking ain’t a thing in sfv.

Plinking was in SFIV possible, because of a bug in the game engine.
It doesn’t work in SFV and would be pointless anyway, since all links are 3f links.

You guys are right, it’s just a habit I need to get rid of

Same with me. I am just in the habit of plinking.

"Street Fighter V Cammy Beginners Guide (Basics #1)"

Found this on reddit and it’s pretty good! Is the creator from around here? Anyway, I’ll cross post it in the beginner forum as well.

Can this be applied to the characters with escape v-reversals? Or Nash’s V-trigger?

AFAIK the only way to beat nash V-Trigger (the one that he runs away through you) is to do a meaty as the very first frame is not invincible. I don’t think Cammy can punish it after its activation.
