a trick i use is after they block my jumping roundhouse, I jump back ex cs ->combo. it’s sort of gimmicky but it works great if not overused… i noticed a cross up excs after spiral arrow although i think this is character specific (not sure who on, couldn’t get this to work on ryu though).
After watching the sako vs daigo matches I realized that Sako did a couple of times a meaty cr.HP (once into super) and that is one trick I’ve never even considered using
Do you guys ever do this? And how/why? I mean, whats the advantage of using it instead of a meaty TKCS??
The more I think I know about cammy the more I realize i don’t really know a thing ^^U
Well, they’re not exactly the same. They both have their strong points.
Meaty Cr.hp
[]greater damage + stun
[]it has much faster start-up, so it can be set up in more situations

more likely to land a counter-hit (although still extremely difficult), because it is less telegraphed
Meaty Cannon Strike
[]more frame advantage to work with on hit and block
[]there’s less push-back, leaving Cammy closer to continue pressure

option-selects are more reliable, due to the shorter recovery of Cannon Strike.

I got it from a Street Fighter art book that my friend showed me. It was done by a Korean artist named Lim Jong Hee. It’s probably my favorite Cammy pic of all time now… makes me to use it as custom artwork on a stick (If only I played stick…).
I’m sure it’s online somewhere now, but if not, I guess I could send it to you somehow. Just let me know.
cool, thanks man! found it by searching his name in google. cammy rocks! only officially on page 6 of this thread though, another 34 to go til i’m up to date on how she plays (trying to learn her at the moment). but cross the picture search off the list!
How to deal with constant crossups? Like they do a crossup do a few cr jabs and shorts and crossup again and repeat. Cannon spike is practically uselss since it loses to crossups. Sometimes when I try to AA them with s. strong it whiffs or trades. Do I just block or backdash or something?
If it’s predictable, mash DP and with 2 bars be ready to FADC. Or absorb crossup with FA then dash out of it, don’t do it everytime. It’s hard to react the first time you do it but good opponents will make you pay for it when you try it again. Jump backwards HK is godlike, use that. If you got good reaction, escape with SA, it’s not the best option but option nevertheless. Close standing HP might be good against some crossups. There’s a ton more, you need to find something that suits your playstyle.
Question since the Arcade edition is coming up i pretty much deleted everything I learned from Cammy just like I did going from SF4 to Super. In Sf4 my gameplan was horrible relying on Cannon Spike FADC ultra then in Super It took me months to undo that urge then I finally started to learn what Cammys all about now with the Arcade edition it makes me wonder can Cammy play well without dive kicks? Ive tried it only online and it’s been tough (but my points did go up:rock: I finally broke 3000pp) then when I give up and go for dive kicks it sets up for so much something most of her other specials cant do. So do any of you Cammy’s think she just cant compete without dive kicks I know they’re really important but is it really the only way to play her.
Depends a bit on whether we can dive any time we want after UF or if we can only dive at the peak + if we get anything else in return or maybe more nerfs…?! I actually hardly use any instant dives online except when I try to bait a dp.
I don’t play Cammy, but have an interest in siding her a bit. (still play vanilla, where she did crazy damage) Is there any advice someone can offer me about a good method for hit-confirming cr.MK to Spiral Arrow? I’ve tried it in practice but I can’t get it down and it seems like such a brutal ability to have. Even when I start to get close to thinking I can just barely do it, there’s no way I can begin to concentrate enough in a match to not get myself into trouble or blow half my meter correcting the mistake.
Thing is; when Justin Wong played Combofiend in vanilla, it was clear that he could hit-confirm it, so I know it can be done somehow. However much he plays the game, Justin is only human and we all have a very similar if not the same threshold for reaction. Does anyone know how to do this?
Am I right in assuming close standing MK is good for stuffing/punishing moves? It cancels into specials and, I’m not sure about frames, but visually it seems to come out hella fast. I’ve been having success with it.
