Question Im trying out new things withh Cammy pressuring with Spiral Arrows and I’m finding out why no one does it Is their anything that Cammy can do to punish Neutral jumpers reliably at the Lk Arrow range? everything you do seems situational. I came up with different ways but they all seem situational/punishable. Also, is there anything you could do against FA users at that range with or without the backdash? I just dont want to waste my time with situational ones if theres an easier way for now. Any help would be appreciated.
walk forward and use st.hk or cannon spike to punish n.jumps at lk.spiral arrow range.
use SBF or cr.mk xx SA to punish FA abusers at that same range.
thanks I did try that at first but it seemed hard because it felt weird walking forward to CSpike or HK I guess practice makes perfect. Also, SBF would never reach for me may be I should stop taking the bait at the wrong ranges
if they are focusing just outside of sweep range, sbf will reach for sure. if they back dash…you can catch some characters before they have the chance to block.
try using different strengths of the SBF to get a feel of the distance and speed that each one have.
oh yeah of course there’s more like hooligan throw mixups, lows, throws, tkcs, but that’s pretty much the staple of jump-in mix-ups

it has to hit meaty. the timing and positioning takes a lot of practice. you will be better off making the dive kick appear as it will hit them in front, they attempt to DP/TU, and you end up behind them without being hit… this is much easier to accomplish.

How do I beat wake up SRKs?
If I bait them out I’ll either get thrown or they will do nothing. If I try cross them up the DP auto corrects. Cannon Strike seems to lose out to SRKs no matter where I hit it. What are my options? Any video I watch of cammy they can just go to work and opponents will never try do an SRK or anything. I mean it’s hard enough when it’s online, I dont even attempt combos because they just mash SRK and Cammys links are so hard to do online that its not worth it. I only play online due to my country so is it worth just picking up a new character?
I would advise a: get better at your links and b: make your baiting more convincing (fake lows before they get up, early TKCS, etc) because if you’re **always **getting thrown then clearly they’re not falling for it. You need to vary things more, by the sounds of it.
all srks can be stuffed beaten or whiff (then punish) if you strike at the correct time/height… (even Cannon Spike! true story :tup:)
which DP do you want to beat?
Ryus? Ken? Akuma? Saga? Cammys? Feis? Dan?
I’m not the one who asked this question. But I’d also like to know how you can beat, stuff, and make those above characters whiff their dp if it’s not too much trouble.
Or at least Ryu and Ken’s dp.
I get to play a decent Ken in casuals pretty often and I’m having some issues with the dp reversal as well.
Ah yeah I guess. I can get them pretty much 95% of the time offline, but online I just seem to drop them. I’m not sure if its lag or me panicing though. And it’s so hard to do anything when they use the fast get up, I don’t wanna be near them at all!

when i do ex cannon strike… it really feels like im doing a 1/4 motion from down to back then slightly up from back (slightly up from back to jump) but hitting the lkmkhk fast enough she does the cannon strike before she even jumps back… is this true? just wondering… ive been playing ssfiv for about a month and been playing cammy for about 2 weeks now and these are one of the many things ive been wondering lol.
edit ***** by the way when i’m doing ex cannon strike she is performing nearly instantly from the ground so i’m assuming i’m doing right?
Yes. A simple way of understanding it is doing the motion for her normal air cannon strike before jumping, then jumping. Like you said, you are hitting the kick button(s) right before she jumps.
This is probably a stupid question, but what does Cammy say during her forward throw in her English voice? To me it sounds like “so bogus” but what is she really saying?
