You can hit confirm a cannon spike focus cancel but the timing is quite strict and you’d need lightning reactions! I do it in training but in matches I generally just do the fadc regardless.
And you can definately cannon spike fadc cannon spike someone in the air, if you hit someone with a focus attack as they’re in the air you can dash after them as they fly back and cannon spike them before they hit the ground and dash cancel cannon spike that.
I’m quite new to sfiv, played it for few weeks and I’m stuck on Cammys 3rd normal trial, I managed to do the first one but beyond that its nearly impossible for me, I’ve tried for 2 days now and have watched the trail videos 100x times already and still cant do it :sad: , any suggestions or hints would be most welcome also I’ve having problems doing cannon strike on right side, don’t have any problem on left side any idea about that?
Just had a quck look what her third normal trial was, for the first two you want to hold :r: while pressing :mk: or :hp:, then once that hit has connected do a :qcf: motion and any kick to hit the cannon spike, you need to be fairly quick. Just remember you don’t have to do the entire cannon spike motion after the first hit, you can input the :r: part of the cannon spike along with the hit prior.
The two after that are similar but easier, just do the crouch hit and roll your hand from down to forward and press kick to do the spiral arrow. Good luck!
Thanks a lot cleared it in like 2-3min, was quite easy, any hints on trial 4? had few tries on it but I just mixed up buttons and couldn’t even do cannon strike
First one, Jump :hk:, :hp:, Cannon Spike. Thats just like the trial you’ve just done but with a Jump HK before it, hold :r: during your jump HK and keep it held forward for the :hp:, then its just another quick :qcf: + kick like before. (Thats a really useful combo by the way, would be a good one to get the hang of).
The second is harder. Just like before Jump :hk: but hold down as you land to go straight into the :mk:, then roll your stick round to forward straight away for the :hk: spiral arrow, then quickly do another :qcf: :hk: for the super. The :qcf: for the heavy spiral arrow counts towards the spin driver smasher so you only need to input once for the super. (This is another good combo to learn, even without the super at the end!)
The other two, just do a hooligan combination and let her slide at the end then input her super just as she connects with the kick, the same for the spin knuckle, try to input the ultra as shes ending the spin knuckle.
ohhh, Hit them with a focus attack as anti air… that works. what i actually ment was use cannon spike as anti air and then FAcancel that.

for most characters. Their BnB combos don’t work after a FA crumple, since the connections can be blocked because the opponent “springs” back to their feet.
This usually leaves me clueless with what to follow up with, Cammy is no exception… Do combos work after focus attacks at all…? If so what are some for Cammy?
Sorry I didn’t mean you can only CS FADC CS after a focus attack in the air, just using that as an example you could try, you can definately cannon spike dash cancel cannon spike as a regular anti-air. Timing is quite strict and I’m not sure if it works everytime, might depend on their jump angle, but it does work.
If your opponent is springing back to their feet when you hit them from a focus crumple it means you’re hitting them to late, once they drop to their knees you’ll only be able to land one hit on them. To land more hits you need to dash out of the focus attack as you hit them, so charge focus until Cammy flashes white, let go and as the focus hits them double tap forward or back. Combo them after that and you’ll get more hits in, you can also ultra at that point and land the full gyro drive smasher.
Hey guys I realize this is totally noobish and you guys might not even answer but what do you do to pull of cannon strike without jumping from 1 player side?? I can do it from 2nd player just fine, i just flick the stick fast backwards from bottom to top in a sort of half circle motion and it comes out but i can never pull it off from 1 player side.
Well technically you have to hit the same thing as the 2 player side. Go onto training mode and watch your inputs. It’s down, back, up forward. I usually do down forward, down, down back, back, up, up forward. It’s almostlike or big circle, just cut out the up back part. 1p side took me an hour or so to really get down 100%. Keep practicing.
I’m having some troubles, mainly with ex cancelling a cannon spike into another cannon spike…
so far im spamming the inputs in as quick as i can… and I always end up messing up something, I guess its just timing, execution and obviously something I’m missing…
basically my inputs are :dp::hk:, ex.cancel, :r:, :r:, :dp::hk:
however i’m guessing I can drop one of the :r: out of the dash cancel as the start of the second cannon spike might count…
You kind of have to pause to do the second Cannon Spike. If you spam the move, the Cspike will either not come out or wiff. What kind of mess ups are you getting? Are you getting a spiral arrow instead of a Cspike? Does the Cspike miss?
You can always try :dp: :hk: ex cancel :r: :r: then :df::df: :hk:
That works too. I use the full motion, but it’s a thought.

:dp: :hk: ex cancel :r: :r:(hold) :d::df: + :hk:
and don’t do it as quickly as possible… Wait till they almost hit the ground before doing the second cannon spike.

edit** Hmm… Now i have a question, Cammy’s Spiral Arrow, What’s the deal with the spacing? It seems like the roundhouse and standing versions go about the same distance…
On block their recovery time (at the max distance) seems to be long enough for the other player to punish… I’ve heard that the SA is safe when done at the right distance… Is this true?
Also, at the max distance, It seems sometimes the tip of her boots hit the opponent and she “bounces” off, other times it seems like both her feet are inside the opponent and yet they don’t get hit. Does this have something to do with the active frames, and at the very end of the animation she can’t hit?
So I haven’t really been playing Cammy too much over the past few months, due to playtime limitations and such.
Have there been any major developments in strategies or BnB combos over the last couple months? I noticed something being said about SBA into Ultra? Anything else like this?
Any help would be appreciated, I’m having trouble sorting through all the different threads trying to find anything new

How do u maximize the hitstun u get from air canon strike?
Do u wait until the very last second before performing the command or do you do it as quick as possible to get a high but cross line which hits them under the chin?
I think you want to hit them in the legs. The lower you hit them the better. I tend to wait instead of strike real quick. Most people are expecting the quicker strike, so I go at the end of the jump. Especially if they’re Focus attack happy.
I haven’t seen any new bnb combos… There was a cool one that involved the SA FADC throw, or SA FADC TK Strike…
Hi everyone, first time posting in the Cammy forums.
I’ve been messing around with Cammy’s combos lately and for some reason, I find it harder to connect st.lp, st.hp after a FADC’d Fierce Spiral Arrow on some characters than others. Example, I can connect st.lp, st.hp on Abel and Cammy herself but can’t seem to connect it on Chun Li; I’ll hit her with the st.lp but the st.hp turns into a far hp instead of a close one and I never hit her. Is there is a reason for this or is it just me? Sorry if this question’s already been asked or if it’s not too clear.
