Cammy Moveset and Attributes

for whatever reason i actually like her not being able to grab crouching characters. makes people think they are safe and right when you cancel into walkin position you can counter them with her c.lk or throw. but yeah i hate that theres no cross console compatibility.

I’m impressed with the amount of moves that Cammy can hit her ultra or super off of. I mean you can ultra off of back fist, cannon strike, ex cannon strike, cannon spike FADC…maybe even max range drill and hooligan, I’m going to have to play with that.

hooligan, yes…I’ve yet to try from max range, but if you get the sweep up close, the ultra will only hit once

FAlv3, backdash, HP hooligan, Ultra

this is the combo that also confirmed that HP hooligan lands the quickest. Any

pretty much everyone I play against atm just starts mashing crouching jab (or mk, or sweep…or crouching anything really) on reaction to anything but EX hooligan…EX hooligan is amazing though- <3

yeah so apparently you can mash c.jab on reaction to both regular and ex dive kicks knocking cammy out of it and wasting meter as well.:sad:

do you mean ex banishing flat? cuz i feel pretty confident that i do reversal dp after blocking it and it’s not working. or are you saying if you get hit by regular banishing flat?

no ex banishing flat knocks down if it hits but if you get hit by the normal backhand you can punish with those options. on the other hand if you block ex backhand then you can punish accordingly also.

Encountered this today. Wow, sucky.

TK absolutely since it has start-up…but I have a hard time believing that a dive aimed fairly high would get stuffed like that

EDIT: this information is wrong, i just tried it in training mode and i did reversal ultra after ALL banishing flats and it was blocked. please test what you post in TRAINING mode.

allen: you CAN reversal dp after hit or block. non-ex green hand is ass

both versions scythe think of it as beating out rufus’ dive kick and you can do ultra after banishing flat if its blocked i just did this last night so yeah.

like a dummy when I tried, I did standing jabs…I’ll have to try again tomorrow

on an unrelated but completely awesome note, hooligan slide is COMPLETELY safe on block, and possibly even lands you at a positive. got very mixed results setting the computer to hooligan then jab…sometimes I’d beat her with a jab, sometimes she’d beat me…sometimes we’d both hit…sometimes she’d block o_O. REGARDLESS, I set myself as zangief at one point and she can escape all but the super and ultra grabs (believe his others are 2 frame grabs?)

it’s a very meaty attack so using hooligan as an okizeme just got a bit better. Mix up between the slide, hooligan cancel grab, cancel into a jumping dive, or cancel into block

HELL, you could whiff a lp hooligan from slightly farther just to get the slide kick

Thinking about hooligan on wake-up now makes me think of something else…does whiffing hooligan make her fall faster?..must…test

it does seem that way but i usually cancel right before she goes into slide so it seems like im walking to cancel. on another note im wondering if you can cancel normals into taunts to make them recover faster since you can cancel taunts just by walking apparently or doing anything else as well.

so basically i’m not putting enough passion to mashing the dp out after banishing flat. XD

One cool thing I found, pretty much by accident, is that you can Cannon Spike > FADC > second dash > Cannon Spike.

That’s -two- dashes, not one, and you’re actually Cannon Spiking them back towards where you came from, as the second dash goes under them. It’s pretty useful when you’re backed up into the corner.

tried that like 3 or 4 times in ranked match and missed… felt sad for the gauge i drained too :frowning:

Yeah, wasting meter with Cammy is hella frustrating…

Speaking of which, what are you guys using your meter on?

I use mine on FADC Cannon Spikes and sometimes EX Dive Kicks for corner mix-ups. I’ll use EX Spiral Arrows against projectile characters too. Never touch EX Hooligan, very rarely use EX Spinning Back Knuckle.

I’ve started playing with the aim of trying to save meter for cr.LK, cr.LP, cr.LK xx HK Spiral Arrow xx Super because it does so much damage…

My reversal ultra punished up close MP/HP/EX Banishing Flats, but not LP Banishing Flats.

Which indicates it has an 8 frame startup, plus whatever amount of time it takes Cammy to reach the target (so it doesn’t punish all -8s, like Barlog’s HP Dash Straight, and probably explains why it didn’t punish MP/HP/EX Banishing Flats when you tested it)

It depends. If I’m fighting a character like Ryu, Akuma, Sagat, Guile or Dhalsim I go
meter burning crazy. EX Hooligan to close the gap from full-screen, EX Spiral Arrow from 3/4 to mid-range to shut down fireballs and establish knockdown. EX Cannon Strike is a solid tool that I use on everyone (conservatively, though) because it’s easy to TK and it also causes enough hit-stun so you can consistantly implement a follow-up combo off of an EX CS cross-up.

When I’m fighting less fireball-happy characters I preserve bar for that very combo you mentioned.

i dont have a camera or id make a video but i was positively point blank when i did all of the tests. i got the super to punish but not the ultra.

for my test i recorded the banashing flat and then like 4 seconds of blocking so that i knew gief was blocking as soon as possible and so that gief was blocking the whole ultra.

i think youre just timing it wrong then cuz its free once blocked.
