EX canon strike is great most of the time. somehow once though, i landed one and was thrown immediately before i could even combo it. I think it was by M. Bison (dictator) I think EX hooligan throw is pretty underrated. It has yet to fail me against people who like to chill back and fire ball all day. Cammy has so many options at her disposal that i sometimes forget what i have in my arsenal.
Not sure if this is new or not. But regarding the Cannon strike cross up. If opponent is in the corner, you can only cross them up using this move if their in the right corner.
Mid screen you can obviously crossing them up no matter what side your on, but can be good to know if you have pressured your oppponent to a corner that you cant use cannon strike to cross up unless their in the right corner.
This can ofc also be used to confuse a opponent who doesnt know about it, if you keep crossing them up in right corner. Then when in left corner you can jump in and cannon strike so it looks like its gonna be cross up while its not.
Don’t know if this has been covered in the other threads cause I don’t play cammy and I’m generally lazy, but MK is her kara throw. It doesn’t move her forward as much as say Ken. But it’s something to remember.

Guys how do you kara-throw? Likw I’ve watched videos saying that you first press the button you use to attack, then press lp+lk.
So with cammy it’s mk, lp+lk? If so, why can’t I do it? I’m already using 2 hands just to press it really fast and still nothing.

she can also kara with mp, but it’s barely noticeable
You have to do it really fast… the mk and lp+lk have to be input very close together, such that it’s almost simultaneous. As scythe master mentioned, the distance isn’t she moves foward isn’t substantial. What I do to check if I’m getting it or not is go to training mode and use the tiles on the floor as guidelines to see if Cammy moves foward; on a successful attempt, she does.

ex drill goes under fireballs. That means all of them, ex, red, giant sakura balls, yoga fire, high tiger shots, LOW TIGER SHOTS, sonic boom, kikouken, whatever.
I wanted to say the same for super and ultra, but it seems that they just have invincibility frames at the beginning. Honestly, though, if you’re close enough to hit them with it you can probably time it so it’s right in your face when you do it (except against Guile).
If Cammy does a backwards Dash from standing face to face with any Shoto, the distance that she is backed up prevents any normal attack [save for moves such as Ken’s Fierce Kick that moves him forwards] as well the Dragon Punch moves from hitting her. Though I’m an admitted Scrub, I noticed this in training mode, and I certainly believe it is going to be a great spacing tool.
Yep, her backdash is GOOD. Use it to bait SRKs and such. When I am up close to shotos on wakeup, I usually charge a FA and dash back. This protects you from random pokes and the backdash gets you out of the way of wakeup SRKs. Just watch out for wakeup hurricane kicks, I’ve seen this WAY too many times online.
Also, be careful of your backdash if they have an ultra stocked. Wakeup ultra = you die.
Still, it’s a good tool.
on a higher level game, how effective is blocked FA and blocked DP fadc?
when i was using sagat, my friend actually c.fwd xx dp me on reaction to blocking my sagat’s DP fadc.
not sure if it’s the same with cammy, my firend seems to eat my throw a lot after blocking cammy’s dp fadc.
also, blocked FA…run up and throw == 100% free(minus their techs of course)? can they do anything against you on reaction.

Sorry for the beginner question, but what exactly are Cammy’s overhead options and what are her crossup options?
For the life of me, I can’t figure out what’s special about EX Cannon Drill or EX Cannon Spike. Does anyone know?
I think drill goes through projectiles.
Cammy does not have any grounded overhead options.
For crossup, her best bet is j.lk, but you have to hit the lk late and the spacing is pretty tight.
EX Drill passes through projectiles.
EX Spike has increased invulnerability. I’ve yet to be beat out of an EX spike.
cannon drill has fireball immunity (all kinds…not sure when this invuln. starts, however) cannon spike possibly has some more immunity than normal spike and does 10 more damage…but as far as I can tell there’s almost no reason to use it
maybe it’s safe on block? >.>
i would assume you would want to use it on a deep jump in that has rediculous priority or to beat out srk attempts on wakeup

Does she have any sort of good overhead aside from the Cannon Strike that is basically suicide?

And two posts up someone said it “no grounded overheads” this is really killing me against Blank and Honda, and Boxer, those are the only guys I lose against now; if I could pick Fei to counter then it’d be an easy win, but I don’t counter pick; I just pick.
