I think that move was a little too good, the fact that it was safe and went through FB’s on reaction surprised me. Her V-skill does not function in the same way as it does not punish FB’s on reaction, you will still get DP’d if you try. If anything the utility it had was replacing her Alpha counter and made that move useless.
Regarding her new c.fp, I am more in favor with how it is now. I do think s.fk is a weak CC though. Either they need to add a CC capability to cl.fp or change fk.
Aliounne seems to think they buffed her j.lk hitbox and hitstun, not sure why they would do that as I never seemed to think that was an issue in the first place. If anything hopefully it allows for a j.lk into a medium attack for an easier hit confirm I guess.
Nerfs: No neutral ex dive kick is sad to see go, that was a very powerful tool as vs some characters you could fish for pokes from extremely far away. I do understand it being gone though, it might aggravate fireball characters a little too much.
V-Trigger only two attacks, not sure how I feel about this. Usually you just get the free combo x 2 then randomly fish for something before the last one wears off. Not a big hit or anything but does remove a lot of potential damage.
Another note as some people might not know, she can actually do an ambiguous j.mp that does NOT cross up but you land on the opposite side. Very tricky if you can find the sweet spot.
She is still super strong, a few QoL issues here and there I hope they change but we’ll see what happens.
I can see how her previous ex sa would make her v reversal redundant. However, I still loved how it made sa safe. S fk is not a bad cc though imo. Especially when it comes to whiffed or blocked dp’s. Dash in after the cc with b mp, link into it, and you get a nice amount of damage off it. Cr fp wouldn’t work in that situation. It always seemed to keep the opponent airborne after the cc. Maybe I just didn’t have the timing right? Anyway, I rarely used cr fp as a counter at all, but maybe that’s because I wasn’t very familiar with it.
Her j lk is legit. It combos into mediums way easier than the previous beta. J lk into cr mp x2 cannon spike was my go to cross up on hit. On block j lk into cr mp -> hp hooligan grab worked well.
I’m sad to see ia ex dive kicks gone as well.
Playing the stress test today the v trigger being only x2 specials wasn’t as horrible as I imagined it. My game plan stayed pretty much the same.
I’ll have to check out that j mp set up next phase bro. Seems dirty, but I like it.
Are you people nuts? her f+rh is fucking amazing. Airborn quick move, safe. combo potential? Look the frame data up it’s one of the best moves in the game.
Why do you dash up after a CC? I just did f+hk -> cr.mp every time and I allways used st.hk for whiffed DP’s.
Cr.HP was such a great poke to fish with,it still is,but without the CC it’s not that effective anymore.
I didn’t see anyone talking about the TC, EX hooligan, DP combo anywhere other than an unfinished video I posted. This was just an update to show the full combo. Apologies if it was already mentioned
same here, I use ex dives or ex hooligans. in the corner tc ex dp as well sometimes. But since meter is rarely needed with Cammy imo, her ca is always a threat for the opponent.
I’ll just say definitely super.
Cammy does/did/for now/no nerf please/ good damage and stun.
When you use meter for her you only gain slight advantages, which to me at least, aren’t worth the resources.
Super on the other hand is great for punishes and combo enders.
Of course if you don’t have super and you know that extra 10 pts of damage is going to kill then - duh.
Ideally reserve your meter.
