Ryu isnt as braindead as you think I tried to use him and I couldnt may be its just me and I hate fireball wars.
i’ve had to face my own brother in my last 3 tournaments… it sucks… but it’s kinda a test of your diligence and your ability to exploit what you know about the other player
and also i hate the fact that i can pickup ryu in some casuals with some other serious players and manage to beat cats i can’t beat with cammy simply because i know the ins and outs of zoning… ryu is so solid that anyone with good knowledge of the basics can make him work and anyone with that knowledge and massive skill behind it can make him dominate… characters like cammy need a seperate approach and playstyle altogether

Oh come on. If someone has the basic of the game down. Ryu is a easier character to play and win with. That’s the way the game is designed. Ryu is solid on all fronts.

All I know are the facts
-Lamerboi is an awesome dude. He’s also a great Guile who stands out on the national level for a reason. I had a chance to play him (fancy myself as a decent player) and found he has great command of normals and spacing.
-Ryu is not easy mode at at a high level. Having mostly even match-ups does not make a character noob friendly, people hate on ryu because they don’t have any fundamentals so when they get beat by online randomness they get incessantly filled with sodium, this has happened to me, just fdin out why you lost and start trying to improve your game.
-Crackfiend, please don’t feed people who like to live in pretend world and try to compare different class of players with no way to actually display their imaginary findings. I know you’re a stand up guy (I met you and your brother at SNCR in the mm room, I was the decently intoxicated white cammy player)
-Calling wong/sanford “average” cammy players is gross. They are far above MOST (99%) cammy players and have a grasp on fighting game knowledge and fundamentals that very few can claim. They are respectivly considered world’s BEST in MvC2 and trade evo’s and take top 8-16 on a consistant basis in almost any game they play competativley, calling them average is a joke.
-John Choi proved that with solid zoning and SF2 basics he can add a few extra SF4 characteristics and still be good, not that dp-fadc-ultra is a win button, you can have the best execution in the world it does you no good if you can’t read your opponent and find an opening. Also, Choi is a world known great player in other games so it’s no suprise he does well.
-BTW CammyOwNz, this game is about winning, using a character that is very well rounded is a smart thing to do. If you had the option of a 1) Big dick or 2) a small dick, would you choose 2 because it took more skill? Thought not.
Crack we did the same exact thing in pools, except I lost a close match to Ricky in winners semi’s and got bodied by joon in loser’s semis, I would have been pissed if I had to play someone from my area…let alone a fucking sibling. Whoever said that they gave joon tips about cammy before pools, you son of ha beeech lol.
