Cammy Combos and Glitches

Seriously, this whole chain/link thing needs to be stickied everywhere because I have seen this question come up way too often.

Great thread! I can basically set up for combos not but I’m having trouble dishing out the big damage aside from Cannon Spike x 2…Its the fact that my memory sucks as well as my timing lol!

Quick question, not sure if its been asked before but can I FA Cancel back dash out of a Spiral Arrow if its been blocked? I find that this is a real high risk move adn my alternate solution is to hope that the opponent is trying to pull off a harder move so that the Cannon Spike hits himor either he keeps blocking and I land back at a safe distance.

Well you can only FADC out of the Hard CA
Light and Medium cant be FADC’d

Cool, I guess until I get my stick I’ll stick with my current button configuration. I have a bad habit of not changing my button configuration since I used to use Ryu back in my SFII/Turbo/SNES days.

I stated that you can connect 4 ex cannon strikes in a row

so I was wondering if you can do Normal cannon strikes in a row like ex cannon strikes.

The whole multiple EX cannon strikes thing has been known for a while. As for normal cannon strikes, I don’t have the frame data to back this up, but it doesn’t seem possible. Normal cannon strikes produce less hit-stun (to test this you can perform [TK EX cannon strike, TK EX cannon strike], but you cannot perform [TK cannon strike, TK EX cannon strike], or at least I can’t), so they shouldn’t be able to combo like the EX variant. I theorized this infinite pages ago and no one’s been able to make it work and I suspect that no one will be able to.

You can still do something like:

TK EX Strike x4, TK Strike, cFierce, cForward XX RH S. Arrow

or

TK EX Strike x4, TK Strike, Ultra

or

TK EX Strike x2, TK Strike, sFierce XX RH Cannon Spike, FADC forward, RH Cannon spike

or

TK EX Strike x2, TK Strike, sFierce XX RH Cannon Spike, FADC backward, Ultra

ah ok because I was reading the ex thread and they didnt really mention much about hitstun although I kind of knew but wasnt sure because I wasn’t really able to test it out and suck with the low strike.

but Il play around with it when I get the chance.

i know you can do the low cannon strike EX by doing tiger knee motion backwards, but how do you it with the regular cannon strikes?

you have to do the UF+K kinda fast dont rol to it just go QCB,UF+K

I did this with J.HK instead of Cannon Strike, and got 9 hits for 630 dmg on Ryu in training mode. Maybe the push-away hit of the Cannon Strike creates too much space for it to go 9?

Well yeah thats pretty much true but it also depends on where the Cstrike lands on the character, it has to be like mid waist to be able to connect a s.HP but if you do a j.HK the it does more stun and slightly more damage, but tends to keep you closer than if you land the C.Strike. I use the C.Strike to drop to the ground quick when they mess up while im in the air. But most of the time if i want to combo i use EX C.Strike cause it has better hit stun and more priority. I also try to use the normal C.Strike for a block string or Throw Setup, and crossups in the corner.

I saw the C.Strikex2 combos a few pages back, and yeah, thanks to the EX C.Strike’s properties, turns out C.Strikex2, s.HP, Canon Spike, FADCb, Ultra works, but less damage than the j.HK,s.HP, Canon Spike, FADCf, Canon Spike, FADCb, Ultra one (I think it was around 550 on Ryu).

On a non-combo note: Hooligan/Air throw owns Rufus’s Messiah kick. :wgrin:

Just got SF4 today. First thing I did was unlock cammy. Second thing was to embarrass myself in training trying to do TK strikes. However, I did find some useful combos off of c.fp, which I think is a pretty good poke. None of these work at c.fp’s max range, but the first one is fairly reliable.

cr.fp -> standing jab -> HK Spiral Arrow
cr.fp->Cannon Strike
cr.fp->far fp
ON COUNTER-HIT
cr.fp into Gyro Drive Smasher.

I was not able to combo cr.fp into TK EX Strike.

Looking at Sprint’s frame data, though, there should be a lot better stuff. If you’re crazy, j.hk->st.mp->cr.fp->far jab->HK Spiral Arrow. If the frame data is correct, close mp should, frame-perfect, combo into cr.fp.

it does, it’s fairly easy too…and I’m pretty sure it’s somewhere earlier in this thread…I think the only thing that hasn’t been mentioned yet was cr.FP->strike
for the first one, cr.fp->cr.lk->SA is more reliable due to range and cr.FP->cr.MK is best if you can get the link consistantly

j.HK->close MP->cr.FP->cr.MK xx MK SA works

MK SA because at that range, only the second hit of HK hits, so it does less damage than MK

edit:can you make a video of cr. FP->strike, just tried it and can’t see how that could ever work o_O

whoa… CR. hp into C. Strike works but Cr. hp into EX C. Strike won’t?

I didn’t really check the entire thread, but I did notice that the first post didn’t have anything on cr.fp at all. Maybe we could get that updated?

I couldn’t get cr.fp -> cr.lk or cr.mk to connect last night. Light kick whiffed every time. I’ll try both again tonight.

I do know that cr.fp->far jab->HK Spiral Arrow gets both hits of the Spiral Arrow.

Yup.

Tap mk as soon as her fist comes back to her body. The links are end frame-specific: you have to do them as soon as the move’s animation ends, not when it hits (like you would with a combo).

I wonder when we’ll see a complete frame data table… it would help remove the guessing.
