casual sounds good, but if we get numbers, we
shuold at least run a standard tourney, if not teams.
i’d usually say yeah go for the tourney if a bunch of guys show up but i really think casual play would do us better not only because a monthly is the next day but seriously, when was the last time we had casual play with a bunch of people there? with no tourney the machines won’t be clogged and everyone will get to play more matches, which will be more helpful for the scene overall.
plus, we’ve been having a lot of weeklies and shit, and as we’ve seen before shit starts dying out when you hold tournaments all the time. so, rather than having a tournament everytime people show up to cam we should start scheduling shit better or just relying on one or two weeklies a month while focusing more on the regency monthlies or bi-monthlies or whatever they are.
and since evo is coming up soon, the only way people are going to get good practice in is if they play a shitload of casual matches with good players, this doesn’t happen at tournaments, if you’re lucky you catch a few matches with a top player and then you’re done.
so i say we have casual matches instead and save the tournament for regency
