I agree with this guy. OP, your friend is a first level scrub. I actually think it’s okay to be angry when you lose. I still get angry if I lose sometimes. what I don’t think is fine is when you lose and then proceed to blame the game or your opponent’s “cheapness” on your loss.
though I disagree with bokchoy on one point; it’s not superiority complex, it’s inferiority. someone with superiority complex would probably consider the game beneath him. inferiority complex person cares because it’s one more thing they find out they have no control over
Like you, i get angry too, but it’s one thing to get angry with your performance (like most of us here), then to get angry at the other person for beating you. It’s going to always happen in a competitive atmosphere, but it’s just a matter of channeling that anger towards the right reasons, “what was i doing wrong, and how can i make sure that doesn’t happen again.” This is what you gotta make your friend understand OP. That if he should be mad at anything, it’s at his performance. But even then, it’s not that serious, especially in a friendly setting.
It’s human nature to be competitive though, and you shouldn’t hold that against him. But the second he stops this nonsense and mans up, he’ll realize the true competitiveness will show it’s face. You all know the feeling. Those diago-valle ryu mirror type matches where it could go either way.
…Only thing i used to hate as a kid was playing with someone who would turn off the game and throw another one in once you started beating him. That shit was just ridiculous.
