Black Ops is better than MW2. I’ll take a few very minor technical weaknesses for a more balanced game EVERY. DAY.

My only real complaint so far is the spawn is SHITTY. People who bitch about MW2 spawn will want to kill them self when they play Black Ops. So we were playing Nuketown and in the beginning we had to two teams on separate sides and they somehow manage to spawn right behind us. This is very frustrating when you kill someone and they spawn right next to you. I really do hope they patch this because I’m constantly paranoid when I kill someone and they spawn literally 1 feet away from me.
Yeah, I was rolling with a party who simply refused to play TDM due to the spawns. I’ve found it nice to run 'round with claymores and stick them where I think a shitty game would spawn an enemy; usually gets me a kill.
We’ll see how fun that balance shit is in a few months
welp from what i’m hearing the spawn system is worse than mw2. so, no bops for me.
Too much 50/50 love hate when it comes to this game so I decided I’ll pass. I don’t understand why they didn’t give the guns more kick if they didn’t want to add stopping power and the sounds of the game just irritate me especially the guns and how they sound silenced and these maps have to many holes for people to hide, they need come back with these cod4 type of maps

many of the pro perk challenges seem easy. Got Scavenger and SoH pro done…working on Warlord pro. So Far Enfield is the new SCAR-H. Destroying Care Package heli’s is now well worth it even if they drop the package already. 400xp per is pretty damn good.

It would be nice to just try it yourself, but 60 bones isn’t ‘free’. The other thing about reviews is knowing who’s unbiased, and how they are compared to ‘you’ when reading a review. I prefer more arcade than simulation when it comes to gaming…so thats where my angle in a review is going to be, faster paced and less technical. shrug

I still don’t get decoys…what exactly do they do? And I’ve got a grip on the AK47u…feels weird putting a grip on a SMG and not an LMG…but shrug I’m a call of duty newb in the true scheme of things.

I went against a few people with some decent spots for sniping, the snow stage has some good spots on it that are even ‘spawn safe’

People ignored 75% of the space on the maps in MW2…
No stopping power makes all the guns feel weaker…
I think the laggy netcode is worse than MW2…so alot of 'commando lunges in replay are really just normal…walk up and knifes…
I’ve had the contract issue myself…
I still die to random shit all the time…it’s called spawning system…and fucc a tact insert…
And the unlock system pisses me off…I go thru work to levle up to get a gun, then I have to spend money to unlock it? Money should be strictly for customization/attachments/killstreaks…not for the guns themselves as those are level dependant…I sure as hell don’t really want to prestige right now…

On Nuketown, I found a spot where I can actually WATCH the other team spawn, so I just stood there and siply shot them spawning until I got got from behind. Nuketown will be…‘fun’…

The singleplayer/coop content seems very well done, the story mode is said to be one of the best in a cod game, theres Nazi Zombie mode and Zork with DOA arcade game. I also hear theres spitscreen online mode. I honestly might consider buying it xmas depending on what exploits are found.

Lag…not pacman choppy anymore, now just consistent…even at 5 bars I get the "I shot you watches killcam WTF I didn’t even fire a shot?"

So Its Mr. fun coming to the party on CP time, wearing expensive gear that still looks crappy, and he has a soar throat so his voice sounds muffled.

-Character and gun models do look a bit dated, but it seems like it was done to help with the framerate (which is NOT been an issue, so its all good).
-No USP in the game, so I can’t go Jack Bauer rage on people (Makarov is a pretty sick pistol, cant wait to unlock the CZ75).
-Ice Cube keeps telling to watch out on the jungle map, didn’t know NWA’s roots were from Vietnam.
-Love the pacing. MW2 was basically arena combat with modern guns (rather than UT’s plasma stuff), Black Ops is back to gun combat.
-Guns seem weak because you aren’t playing HARDCORE. Play that mode only, screw cross hairs.
-Too many complaints about respawn. Learn to love S&D, thats where the real FPS talent and awesome game sessions come from. Nothing gets your heart beating when it is 1v5 and the bomb has been planted.
-Knife tracking is toned down. That shit was too noob friendly in MW2, now it is at a good balance.
-Love the CoD money and Contracts
-Customization, YES!
-Split screen online, YES!
Havent played FPS in awhile and already off to a good start. I run out of ammo too quick with the 1911, but having the enhanced iron sights has been a huge plus. Havent seen any abusable perk setups yet (care package knife hilarious and stupid in mw2). Will be playing this for sometime. Can’t wait to get my rugby game mode going: Sabotage, headshots and shotguns only. No knife, no secondary, and hopefully instant plant time for the try.

I dont think i can play with ICE CUBE yelling at me… he scared me when I was younger due to his aggressive nature an he is my top 3 favorite of all time… but not he has to yell at me…

Well, looks like I’m currently doing something right by not buying the game yet. Does this mean any of you will return to MW2? The match making has been kind of barren for lack of a better word on MW2 since everyone’s playing BO I imagine. But get this----people are playing the game fairly without a ton of noob tubing, commando’ing, and QS’ing. It was pretty fun…
