a big fuckin shoutout to ALL THE TOURNAMENT ORGANIZERS: DAE (give this man a fuckin trophy and an A+ hooker), shoo, shgl, ytwojay, yi, pherai, gootecks, TYRAM (you held it down running cvs2 man), and i’m missing others. also thanks to ALL the hunters who helped me run 3rd strike (looking at you LUKA and ABE).
this was a great fucking tournament. some hiccups along the way in terms of running the tournament but a great success nonetheless. events like this make you realize that while the competition and drive for games are serious, the friendships within the community go BEYOND the games. good shit to ALL entrants. without you guys there would be no street fighter!
also before i forget. 3RD STRIKE IS NOT DEAD. same entrants as sf4. also, the hype was MATCHED! ppl always complaining that 3s is boring because a chun or a yun always wins american tournaments. fuck you guys, a fucking YANG won a 64 man tournament. don’t forget that this game is still in the sbo lineup. to all you passionate players, don’t stop playing. there are lots of new fun games but we all know deep down inside that this is the best street fighter ever made, jk (only half joking). i want to say the same about cvs2 but this game really is dead, RIP.

this was also my first major tourny and it was really fun. i had a blast on all 3 days! i also learned a lot and got to play against different people with different styles. back to the lab!!! gotta work on that abel technology to get ready for sbo quals! also i got a new strat (not really a strat but) for sbo quals. im not gonna eat anything. everytime i fucking eat something i do shitty. hah weird huh but its true for tourny play at least haha.
Wooow that shit was so much fun and that arcade is sweet.

Socal- good shit to all the IV players I played against you guys are all so good so me and the other norcal heads learned a lot.

Haunts - good shit on going altered beast mode and tearing through so many matches in losers, I;ve never seen you play so solid and confident. All this playing at socal really payed off!
Crackfiend - we’ll get em next time but great showing in the 5 v 5 man you had that last match! Why did socal have to have 3 balrogs on thier team! shakes fist
Good to see Socal faces again and meet some new ones (Gene and Bean). I had a lot of fun, but most of all, learned some new things.

It was my first time heading out to Denjin Arcade and I had a great time playing and meeting everyone that I played.
Shogo: great arcade. Then again, all you gotta do to make me happy is have a ST machine in the general area. Thanks for having the regionals at your arcade. I’ll def head down there again sometime soon.

That was one of the best tourneys in recent memory! Denjin really amazes me - what an arcade can do when it really cares about the players rather than the bottom line.
