California Regionals January 17-18 2009 - DENJIN ARCADE

Going to make some last final posts regarding CR.

There will be CvS2 teams tomorrow.
Marvel qualifiers for the 5on5 will start at 1pm tomorrow. On arcade cabinet.
STHD will be run on Xbox 360, so those that are planning to run this, please bring the consoles and sticks.
These are the teams for the 5on5 as I know so far:

ST: Amir, Caesar, Christian, Afro Legends, Shirts

CvS2: Gene, Combofiend, Sanchez, Warren, Amir

3rd Strike: Vinny, Gootecks, Amir, Vic, 5 Star

SF4: Gootecks, Dae, Christian, Edma, 5th spot to be decided.

We will have the money match between Fatbear and Kai between 10:30 to 11PM.

Maybe we will have a random 3on3 team tourney for 3rd Strike afterwards.

well for sf4 i think its fair to have the other 4 that made it to the round robin go at it again for the spot. i mean if not the tourny might take awhile like bebop said, we have lots of good players that can take that spot since time might be a factor. but if we do another tourny to decide im all in for it haha.

This is basically what we’re gonna try and do for the SF4 5v5. Tomorrow, I’ll try to be there early as possible and get a round robin going between the 4 (Andre, CSB, Keno, Pig) who show up. If no one shows up in time, I know lots of people will want to play for the spot but there just won’t be anywhere near enough time to get that finished. So the 4 of us are just going to pick someone who is there before the 5 on 5 starts for the 5th if that happens.

I really hope you 4 show up to do try to qualify again. If anyone knows them, let them know please.

Edit: if you 4 guys manage to get a round robin going tonight, then great. Or even if just 2 or 3 of you can play each other that would be good too.

what do you guys think the chances of random free agents being picked up for teams would be?
I’m not sure I want to go if the chances I’ll be picked up for teams are pretty low…

I’ll be at denjin tonight & early Saturday, so we can do another RR for the final spot whenever. I’m also all for letting a few other worthy players into the RR to get the strongest 5th member to Rep SoCal. Off the top of my head: Combofiend, Paul, and Kai(El Fuertreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

I’m down with whatever you guys decide on, just as long as that 5th spot is played for.

So I haven’t posted in friggin forever, but I am going to the CR’s, and I most likely could use a spot in one of rsone’s Grand Vista rooms being that I want to head up to Denjin tonight to see the MM between Fatbear and Kai and to get some practice b4(<intentional) tomorrows games. I might (if I’m lucky as hell) be able to stay with Amir and/or whoever he might be crashing with…

FUCKING HYPE! Good shit to kai!!! won the money match against fatbear. score was 10-5 i think? god damn kai 3 perfects?!?! shit was good. and to ivan, there actually is a c viper player here that came from hawaii and let me tell you he is pretty fucking good with viper.
