Sorry everyone… I tried to get online but failed to do so for a couple of days. I asked people to post for me, but the stupid site has been down for hours!!!
Anyways, I contacted the owner(took me all day to get a hold of him) and he refused to do this week’s all you can play night for his own reasons.
Sorry for the inconvinence, everyone… Saturday event continues starting beginning of Jan 8,2005.
However, next week’s tourney will be set and ready.
I will ensure that 3rd strike will have a new wider board for the controllers. Every bit of detail will be fixed prior to Friday, so Saturday will be smooth.
Be sure to remind people you know about the tourney (sign up starts at 11:30, and we will start at 12:30 sharp).

Incase you need an answer a.s.a.p. - Tourney is being held at the “Campus Cove” in the University of Calgary(UC). Campus Cove is in the “MacEwan Student Center”. You can get to UC quite easily by the C-Train (There is a University of Calgary station) or by bus. If you need directions to the Cove once you’re on campus you can get cell phone number from (a kind-er) one of us and we can bring you to/from the station.
Armor_king: It’s at the arcade so I’m guessing Cabinet… Unless someone drags in a TV and a DC into the cove. I’m sure the owner won’t appreciate that so probably no console.

As far as cvs2 team tourney is concerned, that depends on how long you guys want to stay in Calgary for, because I am sure we are going to need an extra day to run that. Sunday would be more ideal in my opinion though.

After playing lots of Magneto in Mvc2, honestly any overhead move from third strike is like slow motion if I stop trying to parry some of them… to block is easy, to parry is stupid when not necessary. :tup:

Location: University of Calgary Campus Cove. Inside MacEwan Student Hall. (2500 University Drive NW)
Sign up begins at 11am, and tourney starts at latest 12:30.
Games include: cvs2, mvc2, sf3s. GGXX only upon request with enough interest.
This will be an exciting tourney, especially now we have top players coming from Edmonton, possibly B.C, and Calgary has new blood plus old players improved dramatically in cvs2.
Usual $10 per game, or $24 for all 3 games. Free play and tournament mode. Owner takes very little from pot, with the rest goes to prizes. (70%-1st, 20%-2nd, 10%-3rd)
