For myself it seemed harder to get a match and much laggier.
So apparently trip guard works the same in SFV, but what about throw immunity in reversal scenarios? I believe it was 2 frames in SFIV, after block/landing from a hit/waking up/etc. Does anyone know if it’s the same in SFV?

“Characters who are in blockstun cannot be thrown, nor can they be thrown for an additional two frames after leaving blockstun. (characters in hitstun can’t be thrown, either, which also continues for two frames after hitsun ends.)”
I don’t recall reading anything similar with landing/wakeup but maybe they just neglected to mention it.
I thought there was a video stating that there was no trip guard in SFV.
I don’t remember the specific all too clearly from SFIV, but it seems like I am more vulnerable whiffing an air grab in this game upon landing than I was in IV.

is it just me or is reversal DP pretty hard to do in SF5 when you have super?
i always, always get super. i even try to be super clean and deliberate with the DP motion, and i don’t suck at doing DPs
i’ve probably gotten more accidental supers in 70-80 games of SF5 than i’ve gotten in 3 years of playing SF4

After Party - Trifecta Music Festival is going to be putting on a show at the center right after the tournament. There will be local acts from Saskatchewan performing. We have a liquor license (with valid ID) and the event is all ages.
We will be following evo ruleset. 2/3 until winners/losers/grand finals which are 3/5
BYOC - (legacy controllers OK, but you are responsible for your pad.) - this is contingent on how this works at Chip Damage’s next event and I will follow their lead on whether or not they should be allowed.

anybody on PC have matches start fine then get laggier as they go on? should I not be running this game windowed mode?
have played literally zero good matches so far, everything that doesn’t start laggy, ends laggy. all 5 bar matches
Yeah I’m getting more supers than anticipated, Ricky. Just gotta be real careful and take your time I think… I’m no tech, but that’s the advise I’ve been trying to stand by.
Also, reacting to crush counters is hard 
you almost have to depend on setups otherwise switching gears is so difficult I find.

so i have a history of trying out different capture cards… i bought two different ones in the middle of last year but had to return both of them because they didn’t play well with my setup
but now i need to capture some footage during the month of march and i don’t want to buy a capture card just for such a short time frame.
is there someone who is willing to lend me their capture card for the month of march (peter, perhaps, if you’ve got streaming on hold for a bit)? it doesn’t matter if it plays well with my setup, i’ll find a way to make it work. i would need it to capture 720p 60fps (no need for 60fps at higher resolutions). i would take real good care of it i promise, and i’ll love you forever <3
