if you’re a fan of metroid, go download this excellent fan remake of metroid 2 before nintendo shuts it down, burns it without hiring the team and selling it for their own profit, and then continues to say that there is no interest in a new 2D metroid game

I could find no fun in the old Metroid games, not as a kid and not now. The levels were too sprawling and covered in gates and seemed to be at odds with the desire to kill aliens with my blaster and I felt no attachment to Samus herself as a character, at least until I beat the game under two hours,

yeah that remake is everything i’ve wanted for so long. nothing was as good as super metroid in the series. granted, some of the gba metroid titles were sick.
nintendo could make millions if they made sidescroller games still… rather than all these garbage wannabes on steam trying so hard to be as cool as the grand pappies of video games.
imagine a new castlevania… oh god. sure, they’ve kept it solid with mario afaik. but gimme a top down zelda or sequels to metroid / castlevania / ghouls and ghosts / earthworm jim / DK (i could go on)
their dev. budget would be so low, lol. or hell, make it 1080p shiny graphics, i’m just after the gameplay!
and to be fair, we were kind of bashing josh’s dreams with the new sonic. i’m sure the fans of that game are swooning. nintendo do the same plx

more RQ’s - usually it’s during a rematch… why can’t capcom just make a change in the netcode that if a player DC’s they just stand there and take it like a bitch, let us get points and they lose them next time they login? ffs. same could be said if they DC during KO, why would it even matter if they are connected or not? you’ve got the win… it’s so frustrating to try and get ranks if every match you win they RQ, and then you end up fighting a super laggy ryu and they win due to bullshit. the honorable player, regardless of bullshitness lets them win. should I just start RQ’ing?
Ricky, did the PC release of KI substantially increase the size of the community? Is it still growing? Basically, is the game in a good place right now.
I’m itching for a good game right now, when I get home from vacation. SFV isn’t it. And MKX has a new update coming so there’s no point in starting that now when it’s going to get turned on its head in a month.
yeah the community is growing imo, if you want to get into the game now is a good time. pc version runs very well. easy to find matches with players of all skill level at all times of day. netcode is still best in class so 95% of your matches feel good.
they released all the season 3 characters. eyedol is extremely, extremely good (too good) so he will likely see some changes in the next patch, whenever that is. they’re hinting at a fairly big patch to remove some of the balance choices that are frustrating the community right now, across all characters, sometime in the next little bit (a month-ish?). the game never fundamentally changes during a season and usually the patches are manageable (unlike some MKX patches), so the game will continue to get better i think
no man’s sky seems to be getting dunked in reviews… i’m sad :\ i think most people were a little nervous the game would be a little samey across all the planets but it sounds like it’s pretty substantial. maybe the game will improve with a few patches and be really solid in 6 months.

Im super glad i didnt buy into the no mans sky hype. I was interested in it initially but the more i heard about it the less fun and interesting it sounded. Its pretty much jist collecting and exploring for the sake of it.
Im gonna be getting my itch scratched by deus ex : mankind divided and phoenix wright 6 for the next little while. I cant wait!
i’m really excited for PW6, was a huge fan of PW5 (thought it was one of the best games in the series music-wise and character-wise)
