i hope mkx is good, or at least fun to watch.
doubt i’ll be playing it because mk, after like 20+ years of games, still has some of the least satisfying in-game animation in the biz. it’s actually kind of painful to see because they never have any weight or good holds to the animation, it’s just smooth tweening garbage from one key to the next - and i’m sure the animators working on the game know it too. they’re just stuck because that’s how MK has always felt.
maybe if they spent less man-hours on fatalities they could dedicate the resources to fix it, idk, but then i guess way fewer people would buy the game in the first place.

block button stuff is weird and unintiutive to me, but i guess some people are into it so whatever. i don’t necessarily see it as a detriment.
I do find how extensively they can dismember their characters pretty impressive from a technical standpoint

josh don’t kid yourself. you try whiff any forward moving normal into spd/ultra 1000x more than snake eyes has or ever will. i haven’t played u in a couple years but i can still tell you your gameplan as a whole. don’t pretend you’re a good geif player just cause snake eyes does the thing you always do some of the time.

There are other players that have credibility and reason to talk shit, it’s different when I hear this kind of stuff from someone like Amin or Panda Bonanzaa, but you? You’re bottom five AT BEST. The ONLY way you can show off is through embellishment. Give me a break, you are no threat to anybody here.
i am glad you are so enthusiatic about my idea scott. not that i think it really should have one. i just find it hard to believe people expect that MK wont have one considering it has had it since day 1.
The animations are a kajillion bajillion times better than MK9, at least. Even someone like Max who’s used to hit-stop type games say the animations are beautiful. Just run a vid of MK9 Kano next to one of MKX Kano. They’ve clearly spent some time fixing animations. The hit-stop isn’t there, but I think MK may look kinda ridiculous in a different way with the 20 frames of hit-stop.
Don’t get me wrong, I would looove to see MK done in the style of a more traditional, Japanese fighting game. I think that could look really amazing. But I’m kind of hoping we get that if/when MK vs SF or Tekken or something happens (Harada did say he wanted to do a Tekken vs SF vs MK vs KOF one day…). I’m not the biggest fan of block buttons either, but for the reasons laid out a couple pages ago, MK needs it (unless someone comes up with a brillaint idea to implement it without either deMKifying characters and the game, or making the game supremely unfun for anyone who isn’t Chris G).
I forgot how bad the SNES port of MK2 looked until seeing that site haha. I was trying it out on the PS3 arcade port.

Also I was thinking if building a pc for gaming and streaming. What do u guys think is the best route for that? I heard building is a lot Cheaper than just outright buying a pc, can anyone hook me up w someone who cam do that? Also what I should I be looking for to be able to run/stream without issues on my computers end? Kinda a noob w computer stuff so I don’t wanna get ripped at like future shop or mem express etc.

yeah. i actually did just watch kano in 9/x side by side and it is quite a leap.
its p. easy to build a pc. there are lots of sites w/ communities that can help out depending on what you need it to do; at the end of the day you just have to have three questions answered on your end:
- what games do i want to play
- what is my budget
- what don’t i need (eg. if you have a monitor, keyboard, etc. already)
i was building pc’s when i was like 12 years old, so i’m sure you can figure it out. it’s also way easier now than it was even like 5-10 years ago because you don’t have to worry about competing ports (everything is pci-e) or irq interrupts or whatever. if you need help just hit me up.
