Yeah when louffy wins like that I think to myself I can do the same. I don’t believe aside from Ryan hart that louffy has much competition in close proximity.
My best strategy is to go hard online and make connections with people who can beat me consistently. I’m on the cusp of vega breakthroughs and there are things I just don’t do in my game. Bonchan plays a complete sagat, but louffy forced his gameplay on everyone and played tight. Zeus plays a more complete, solid vega than I at this point. I know how to improve. And playing well with vega is more important than winning. I just wanna push my limit. It’s how I handle any of my hobbys.
I need to work and my schedule is hectic with bands and now 4 people teaching me 3 different instruments as well as relationships etc but I feel it’s just a matter of seriously dedicating myself. I think from now on I’m going to look at tournaments etc as strictly hardcore training time and not “Vegas time” etc. I got little enjoyment out of Vegas this year.
Im gonna plan a way of maximizing my sf4 time. Idk I just want to enjoy street fighter. I don’t connect with the FGC at all. Rather just play vega well and do my own thing. Gonna come up w a new strategy to get good cuz I don’t just wanna leave SF behind, as tempting as it is. Louffy inspired me.
luffy played a shitty character through 5 years of the game and as soon as she became competitive he won the biggest sf tournament in history vs one of the best players in the world. congrats.
thankfully grand finals were actually fundamentals and spacing, not guess-my-setup fighter 4.
good to see justin wong back as the throned king, was getting real tired of chris G and his bullshit team / champ being champ
unfortunately i fell asleep during sf grand finals last night, made it to ricky/snake eyez.
i had my money on sako or bonchan, but holy shit did sako get bopped by ricky, what an exciting turn of events.
after watching luffy play on lap’s salty stream i could tell he was at the absolute pinnacle of rose game play. thought for sure the tiers would come into place during GF’s though, what an amazing result. good for him, good for europe, wow.
it’s really great seeing less cammy this year, unfortunately we had to see a couple fei longs.
seeing louffy absolutely CRUSH gakt was something special. fuck fei long, fuck that guy.
all aboard the rose train, toot toot – less wake up bullshit and more SF fundamentals. spacing, footsies, execution baby.
i’m going to start playing ultra when i’m back home, which is tomorrow night. it really seems to be the best version just by watching it!
see you dudes at tubby dog on wednesday, lets get bombed
that was absolutely ridiculous what he did. the list of killers he went through is nothing short of amazing. 2 evo champs, 2 jpn gods, bonchan twice, momochi’s juri counter pick, snake eyez’s snake eyez, etc etc etc
sure he may have used dash forward -> c.mp a lot, but in my mind that requires tight spacing for it to work vs players of that caliber and is infinitely more entertaining to watch than infiltration or xians wakeup bullshit
I won’t say he didn’t play very very well—because he really did, i’m just butthurt that a french dude won and rose’s dashes are stupid regardless of how well he played footsies lol
Now Europe isn’t going to shut up for the next year, thats where the problem lies
i meant counter in the sense that juri is a really high level character(from what i understand by looking at bp lists in japan anyways) who seems to only exist in japan, so the level of experience vs something like that is gonna be super low
not a “counter” i guess as more of a secret weapon
