I got asked at the last minute to bring everything and run the show, and I don’t have a copy of injustice. That leaves me with whatever Shiros provide for me to pick up and whatever I can scrounge from other people. I ended up getting 3 full setups from Jon’s place and he’s not even in the province right now.
It really sucks for me to hear that you guys had a bad time. I put a lot of work in yesterday to run everything for everybody. If it were all up to me, of course I’d have fucking setups for the advertised games, but when I get asked 4 days before the event to bring everything AND set everything up AND run everything, then there’s not a hell of a lot I can do. I’m not a tourney organizer, I don’t have a million setups and copies of games. I don’t even have an xbox at home. The tourney didn’t even start til almost 2, but I was out driving at 9am collecting xboxes and shit. I didn’t get paid, I barely got a thank-you from anyone besides Shiro, but I did it because I love this shit and there wouldn’t be a tourney yesterday at ALL if I didn’t.
If you guys don’t want to come up anymore, that sucks. I tried my best to accommodate you with the resources I had available to me.
I’m a little pissed off by your reaction, but I do agree the onus is on us to provide a better experience.
what the fuck happened
5 guys from calgary came up for injustice and we didn’t have discs. Fortunately they had Jimmy’s setup and an additional disc, so we had 2 setups for the injustice tourney. this was literally the only thing that went wrong, and I have no control over it. everything else ran without a hitch.
hence why i’m a little put off by jimmy’s reaction. if you don’t want to come to edmonton anymore, fine, stay in calgary, but don’t come in here saying the entire tournament was a gong show and we have no idea what the fuck we’re doing.
Steve you should probably just move to calgary.
