I really want to check it out… if they could somehow get that Studio Ghibli magic and warmth into an RPG, that’d be pretty badass. I just don’t have time for games like that these days though, I heard the playthrough is 20 hours minimum? I haven’t played a game that took more than 10 hours to beat since like… uhh … hmm. I can’t remember
haha yes revengeance is the dumbest word I’ve ever heard
So, my boss dropped a hell of a bomb on me Monday, and now I’m finally to the point where I’m coming to terms with it.
A few of you probably know my work permit expires at the end of this month. Long story short, things have become infinitely more complicated than I thought they would be. And as a result, my boss is forcing a situation upon me that I have no control over. The end result is that I have to leave the country by the 31st (which would be normal) and will be staying in Orlando for, bare minimum, a month to a month and a half (which is very much not normal). In the absolute worst-case scenario (which is highly unlikely as long as I’m not retarded), I could end up never coming back.
This means that the next Tubby Dog and Dickens sessions are going to be my last for a while, and I’ll likely be missing out on the speed run marathon and the Dickens tournament. I would like to believe I’ll make it back in time for April Duels, but realistically I have no idea when things will be set up for me to be able to come back. I was told mid-March, but then I’ve been told a lot of things that turned out to be not necessarily accurate.
Visa stuff sucks (I presume that’s what it’s about), so I hope that works out for you. If you’re trying to look on the bright side, at least you get to miss the rest of the cold Calgarian winter? lol
that combo still works but you can’t combo into RH spiral, you have to use LP / MP dependant on spacing. if you use LP from max range it won’t reach, and if you use MP too far it’ll hit too late to combo. EX always works.
important links:
cr.short, cr.short (1f)
cr.short, cr.strong (1f)
close standing strong, cr. strong (1f)
close standing forward, cr. strong (1f)
close standing forward, cr. fierce (CH only, 2f?)
That’s the plan. Up until this point, every time I’ve been on the fence he makes me an offer that gives me incentive to stay. Now he’s practically throwing me under the bus because he didn’t do any kind of planning for this until maybe the end of last week after I warned him about this from day one. And he supposedly has no money of his own to help compensate me for the situation he’s all but forcing upon me. The only notable plus side to this is that my parents were willing and able to back me up and I’ve had time to coordinate everything in such a way that the losses and general stress are minimized.
Regardless, I appreciate all the well-wishes. I know I haven’t been around for very long and it’s taken me some time to get better integrated into the local community, but even with how I can be sometimes you guys have really made me feel more at home up here than I expected. Hence why I’m not considering just throwing in the towel and staying back in Orlando once this is all over. I like it up here, horribly cold winters and all.
yeah i quit rose because she doesn’t have that versatile ground game and walk speed like vega does. anti-airing with normals just isn’t as fun as running away or air grabbing people
cr. jab xx cr. short, cr.jab xx special
close mk, cr.jab xx special
but the range is really picky so nobody uses them
her best confirm is probably
cr.short cr.short cr.short cr.strong xx spiral
because cr.short is the only normal aside from cl.strong that is advantage on block, and it has a really good hitbox.
i think ultradavid has the right idea. there are too many characters that are too widely represented to expect your characters’ tier position to win for you. at some point you ought to learn how to counter pick.
i think you could tier whore in earlier games cause there weren’t as many characters, so essentially you had a worse chance at running into a bad mu. but among the best characters in sfiv, several have bad matchups against characters that aren’t uncommon and as a result they’ll be on a disadvantaged playing field in these circumstances.
i feel like this is one of the semantic arguments that are meaningless and trite but at the same time i do see david’s rational.
i was about to say if you win with hakan in grand finals than it’s probably more a matchups game but it’s also entirely possible that hakan is a great character. how should i know though
