I’ve been playing through sm64 recently. That game is so fun. Can’t believe how long it took me to beat it when it first came out, I’m almost done the game and I’ve sunk maybe 3 hrs in lol

I’m playing SFXT these days to get back in shape for the new patch coming out so hopefully I’ll see you dudes online for a couple games sometime.
yeah i can 120 star sm64 in about 3 hours. it’s fun but some of the stars are like right around the corner from the start. they really broke some new ground with that game though. Not dated at all. Got the soundtrack on my ipod too.
hour and 27 minutes, makes me wanna play through again and finally do that DLC content

I’m curious about the logistics of this speed running event… Where the fuck are they exactly? What kind of building is that? Do they all sleep in some sort of barracks off to the side or is it like hotel rooms? (Honestly a lot of them don’t seem old enough to rent a room)
Gotta give them props though for pulling something like this together.
I also wanna see the station they’re playing on. I imagine an big old fat CRT with a ton of ancient consoles and wires sticking out of it.

I used to run megaman two before I moved to calgary… I managed to get it under 30 minutes. I just checked and apparently that’s pretty damn good! I may have even held the world record without knowing it lol

maybe i’ll try to speed run one of the Ninja Gaiden’s or SFxMM.

I used to do speedruns of GE/PD (and like I say, am still in regular contact with the people who do this now), but I haven’t done speedruns for any game for some time, except for random achievements in games that ask you to beat it fast. I keep my finger on the scene at large a bit, but I’m not sure I’d know of any game I could personally speedrun at a world class level right now.
What do people think of that team tournament vs singles comparison on SRK’s front page? Should there be more SF4 team tournaments?
ya sf4 is getting old, its time to do team format in its twilight years(imo)
I think something should be done with SF4. It’s really starting to get stale for me.
